I got killed by a horde of zombies just north of Novy Sobor, and I decided that I'd run back to get my stuff after I respawned. I now know that I can't navigate worth a shit in this game. I started just east of Cherno and intended to go north, but instead I went to Kozlovka, made my way up to Pustoshka, and ended up running a few circles in the fields to the southest of Vybor before I got my bearings and found my body.

Made some progress for the first time ever last night. I feel like this game needs a blog site for people to journal their experience via written or video. Watching people play is very amusing, game is so organic how anything can happen to you.
Anyways, this is my 3rd life, had not found anything but tin can's up until this point. So I'm wandering along the shore, skipped past a town cause my first two lives ended quickly in those, found a military outpost. I saw a couple groups of Z's spawn so I knew no player was around. Snuck around to the side as they spawned inside and came out stumbling forward. Found a spot to crawl under the surrounding fence and raided the 1st bunker. Found some ammo and bandages, etc. Saw a dead marine lying on the ground but no gun anywhere near by. I thought at the time it was just part of the "scenery" but anyways...
Did the 2nd bunker, same shit, had to avoid a zombie but was okay. Went into bunker 3, the last one...halfway through it I hear a zombie lose it's shit and realize I'm caught. I had no idea why though, I was hidden. I look at the incoming zombie...and it's the fucking marine?! No idea what the hell happened there, but that damn marine I saw came at me. Since I had no weapon I had to flee, which ended up putting a few on my tail.
I bolted towards the shore and made a bit of distance on the 4-5 after me and saw a pier with a couple buildings and nobody around. I ran through a gap in the fencing and into the large warehouse....then realized the zombies gave up? Must have been a bug with the fencing or something...maybe I lost them? I don't know. I looked back outside the door and they were mostly all gone. Warehouse had a bunch of ammo and such, I raided it and made my way out...but stumbled into a zombie and fell off the pier into rocks/water, breaking an arm. Took off down the beach but the zombie was stuck in the water, so I got free. I had a wound to bandage, didn't lose much blood but my arm is still broke.
Then I called it a night. Wonder wtf I'm going to do next.

I've been thinking about how to organize things to make it easy for VSNers to play together, and I'm going to need some input. I figure DayZ Commander is going to be a must since it can keep a friends list and manage favorite servers, but what about communication? Would Skype be the way to go?

And so it continues. Wander back to the docks area and found food. Ducked some z's and headed back to the military base I found before to scoop up some loot. Found nothing, until I heard some guy talking. Thankfully he was a friendly guy, not far along himself. Showed me how to do a couple things I couldn't figure out and spared me a can of pepsi cause I was dying. After that he logged out. I left the base but got tagged by a zombie and had to run. I just darted off into the woods for a few minutes and the zombie eventually fucked off, but now I'm totally lost and this whole session is in pitch black night too. Continues to wander through these thick ass woods, found a couple farms but didn't have the balls to get iinto them. Lots of creeper type zombies and I couldn't see shit. So that was that for the night. Totallt lost but I've gotten my thirst quenched, found ammo/car parts along the way and have food for my pending hunger. Not doing too bad!

P.s turned out my arm wasn't broke. Whatever was wrong was gone when I started.
Yea, the more videos I watch the more I say fuck this game. I was looking to get a new PC to play this shit but Ill be damned if I do so only to be bombarded by hackers. Ill hold off until after I get from vacation, hopefully this shit has been addressed or WarZ has dropped.

I've not had any issue either. Always sure to get on aserver with full pprotection and not too full 10-20 players
At the end of the day,itsd just an alpha. Of course some shit will be fucked, but I much prefer a dev cycle that allows me to play it now at a discounted rate.
