Hi Folks,



First I wanted to say thanks to all the players and friends that watched our Livestream last night. The big news was that we announced that we are going Free-To-Play on November 1st. And, we answered some questions about the access levels and options, migrating from Legendary to Premium and let our players know that as of the transition if you have an active account you automatically transition as a Legendary member. As a reminder for all those who purchased the game but are no longer playing, you will automatically be transitioned to a Premium account so please let your friends who are no longer playing know that they should come back.



Here are a couple of additional highlights from the chat:



- Anyone who ever bought the game (either at retail or digital download purchase) is automatically granted Premium access



- Any new player who spends $5 in-game is automatically granted Premium access.



- Your current install of the game will work for F2P launch so you will not need to redownlaod anything to play.



- If you are a Legendary member and transition down to Premium, you will have the chance to choose which characters to keep in the active slots



- You can purchase additional inventory, character and banks slots regardless of your access level



- We anticipate on Tuesday that the transition will require an extended downtime, we apologize in advance, but we are doing a lot of work behind the scenes and then publishing a new version of the game. We will keep everyone updated on the status of when the game is going to be unavailable and then when it is going to reopen via messaging on our forums and the DCUO Facebook page beginning Monday as soon as we have a more firm timeline.



I can’t tell you how much the support of our community means to us, we appreciate your interest, loyalty, suggestions and support as we make this transition.

I downloaded this last night. I hope to check it out sometime this week.

What's the deal with the download though? It said it was only something like 252 MB but the description said you need 13GB of hard drive space. I'm guessing after I boot it up it needs to install? Kind of dumb if you ask me.

I was going to do this install last night while I slept but figured my PS3 could use a serious rest after an all day affair with Uncharted 3
