Beat it a few days ago

 

Killed Anders and sided with Meredith. Ran with Fenris, Isabela, And Varric till the end. So I kill Orsino and kill all the mages and decide to let Meredith kill Bethany because she was still alive I didn't take her into the deep roads to die but couldn't use her for the rest of the game she got sent to the circle. So yeah Meredith kills Bethany then I go outside and the Idol has made Meredith go crazy just like Varrics Brother so she turns on me and I have to kill her and that takes forever. So I guess I fucked up siding wit her since she was gonna turn on me the whole time.

after I got done helping Merrill with the "broken mirror" quest I went into the "newly opened passage" in that same area....TERRIBLE idea, the middle section is wave after wave of tough enemies, and both times I've loaded the game since then the fight starts right away.

Just beat it.

 

I want to play it again and not just to get all the trophies, unlike Origins.

My Warrior playthrough is "complete" but I didn't finish up all the sidequests...

-Didn't find all the blood mage books and kill Xebenkeck
-Didn't kill the High Dragon
-Didn't kill Hybris

...then again, I played it the way I wanted to play it (just let the trophies pop instead of actively doing shit) up until Act 3 where I heard you could be Viscount. :facepalm:

I basically tried helping all the people I could and hit the top dialogue option for forever and a day.

That blew up in my face when I ended up merking all the mages Meridith didn't Tranquil already (which was every Mage I sent back to the Circle along the way), plus Orsino, but not Bethany.

Seems like it's a good thing to either be related to The Champion of Kirkwall or Merrill, who I managed to romance.

Also killed Anders and saw Isabella leave at the end of Act 2 because I didn't use her and she was a greedy enough bitch to start the whole Qunari War because of a fucking book. :smh:

Now to wait for more DLC as I wait in my Estate.

Since Varric tells the Story of the game up until the end of his Interrogation, the Game World closes entirely except for The Black Emporium if you have it.

I mained Merrill, Varric, Aveline to go with my Sword and Board for almost all the game.

...of course after that fight, I made sure to sell all my extra gear that I wasn't using to buy Elfroot Potions and later on the Reinvigoration Potions (80% Health back PLUS Stamina/Mana).

Before then though? Aveline was Tanking like 5 Qunari while Merrill either casted Hex of Torment or Misdirection Hex on the Arishok (she also had the Sustained spell that constantly does Nature damage to everyone around them).

Varric either did the rain of Arrows he does or shot anyone in front of him (got the speed, power and aiming upgrades).

All I had to do was beat the shit out of the Qunari Mages and then moved onto the Arishok...

Took me 2 tries to figure it out :shifty:

There's a way to earn his respect (and possibly avoid fighting him altogether) but you gotta do certain actions at certain points of the game.

finally finished the game wished they would have sent a little notice that after going to the meeting place it would trigger the end game battles as I still had some quests to finish up

 

mainly that big ass dragon in the bonepit

 

Im glad I got bethany back at the end she was fucking trainwrecking mfers

and Assassinate is the fucking strongest ability in the game and every rogue should invest in it sooner rather than later

Aside from the Arishok, the Qunari in town are pussies; easy enough to kill with buffed melee attacks.

The mages they bring with them are nothing short of absolute bastards.

You'll see them when there's a dome of light flashing in an area (it'll be whitish-grey with electric sparks going around it).

Just like any other mage, just roll up on them with a Warrior and Pommel Strike the son of a bitch in the face.

From there, it's up to you as long as you have someone tanking in the background.

seems like reading through all the endings that it all ends up the same no matter what you do, simply a few different changes along the way to both destroying Osorio and Meredith.

seems like reading through all the endings that it all ends up the same no matter what you do, simply a few different changes along the way to both destroying Osorio and Meredith.

 

All the build-up towards becoming the actual "Champion of Kirkwall" was great... Act 3 felt forced though.

That could be because the Qunari problem was more personalized and in your face because you had a hand in how it played out.

The Mage/Templar war was a slow burn since Origins and Hawke was just some scrub in Cailin's army then.

Just found a pretty big glitch in the Arishok fight....he did the impale-move on me and now somehow I'm on a walkway above where the fight takes place and I can't get down...goddamnit this fight is already hard enough as an archer haha....maybe my mabari warhound can take care of him.

Yeah he wasn't doing much so I re-started and beat him the 2nd time around...let him get close and start attacking then run behind him and shoot an arrow, rinse and repeat for about 15 minutes haha.

I'm definitely going to buy Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition once I beat this and the other game or two I have left and beat everything possible in that game. I beat it and did a few of the companion quests but I want to do ALL of them haha.

New favorite ability = Assassinate...takes out even all weak enemies and some of the smaller bosses with 1 hit...sweet

Bioware just announced theyve got a patch ready to be approved by EA and the console parent companies, hopefully it fixes at least most of the issues...especially the freezing. i still cant even play this damned game, it freezes 3 minutes in every time
