I still maintain the only real complaint that I have is the reused environments, and while it still isn't a game breaker, the longer I play the more unforgivable it is. At first I felt that ME1 was worse...now I think not. With the volume of sidequests, it just becomes very glaring going into the 3rd Act. I think the worst part is that it isn't just similar environments...it's LITERALLY THE EXACT STRUCTURE OF THE DUNGEON. Who was the dumbass with that great idea?

I never got the not changing the armor on the NPC complaint, because who cares? It's cosmetic anyway and typically I'd guess that people just want the best armor for their characters. I played the game 6 times and I'd end up giving the same armor to the same characters no matter what anyway, so who cares?

For my fellow non-warrior players, do you switch to your warrior or tank when running around dungeons for when you get jumped? I've had a couple of problems in the past by running ahead with my rogue instead.

I lead on with my mage everywhere. Once mobs spawn I release a thundering shit storm of primal magic and force blast anyone who gets near me.


I'm a fucking GOD.


The combat improvements are easily the highlight of this game for me. Wish there was more variety with the setting being involved, more tactical perhaps, but a blast none the less.

Pretty far with my mage. Think I just hit 18. My party is Fenris + Varris+ Merril.

Anyone else notice Merril sounds exactly like the girl from the new Alice in Wonderland?

Actual Game Spoilers

 

-I just met Cullen from the Circle Tower and since he didn't lose his shit in the Epilogue, he managed to get promoted to Knight Commander for the Kirkwall Templars.

-Also, I met Bodahn and his son, Sandal in the Merchant's Guild area next to Varric's brother.

Sandal's still soft in the head and now sports a creepy grin when you ask him to Enchant your stuff.

-Ran across one of the Werewolves I saved in the Brecilian Forest quest... still human but had I not murdered the troop of Dalish who were pissed at him, he'd be a goner.

Probably will hear about that later. :shifty:

-Got to meet Bonny Lem in Darktown too but nobody would know who he is unless you bought the Leliana's Song DLC for DA:O.

He's still sells you stuff but now he's doing it in a city under a city under a city. :ionno:

I'm still on Act 1, trying to get every little bit of XP that I can...

All I can say is, FUCK THE BONE PIT.

 

Seriously, I went in thinking either there was going to be a hoard of undead skeletons waiting to kill me (ala "Jason and the Argonauts") but noooo...

They give you Dragonlings, mini-Dragons and of course, a fucking "Mature Dragon."

Which would have been fine seeing as I had Aveline and myself on Tank Duty, Varric hanging back with his crossbow and Bethany dispensing spells the best she could (Haste, upgraded Haste and upgraded Heroic Aura).

...then again, tell that to the Dragon when I'm Level 8 and could only get the bitch down to about a 1/3rd of her life left.

Fucking wiped my party and now I gotta level up more and get better gear/enchant my stuff so I have a better chance at killing her.

i meant to ask, i know there are backpacks in kirkwall shops. but i think i only found 2. does anyone have a list showing where more can be found? we all know how crucial that was in origins. especially once u left ostagar

Sundermount?

Funnest area since The Wounded Coast... :smh:

I've fought spiders, mages, assassins, archers, dragonlings/dragons/full-grown dragons, mercs, Templars, etc.

But I've always either seen enemies in front of me or around me (or rising from the dead off the floor in one case)...

Sundermount has reanimated corpses climbing out of the ground to eat you. :scared:

 

The good news is, you can find a piece of the Armor of the Fallen set once you get up the first hill with Merrill.

When you take care of the wave of spiders in the cave, there's a spot that looks like there's blue Christmas lights hanging from the ceiling.

Go in there and dig up the rubble to find the Gloves of the Fallen.

I thought I was finally done in Kirkwall but I went back to Gremlan's house, opened up the letter and BOOM four more quests....nice. I've been playing this game every chance I get, even if it's only 20-30 minutes here and there.

I couldn't play it for 30 minutes at a time, for some reason I had to force myself to start playing it but once I got jacked in I didn't wanna stop for hours on end.

Oh I agree, but I got home around 6:30 then had until 7:15 when the Flyers started to play so I knocked out some quests...I threw Merrill into my party to see what she can do...holy crap she was messing dudes up.

Boots of the Fallen SPOILER:

 

When you finally get around to doing the "Sheparding Wolves" quest, you take the Qunari Mage into a Darktown tunnel filled with spiders.

After you get past some enemies, traps and other B.S., you should come across a chest containing the Boots.

In the Deep Roads...

 

I spent 50 gold to get raped by a Monstrous Spider (FUCK BIOWARE) and then getting assfucked again by a Full-Sized Dragon.

I get that Varric is embellishing a little bit to make the story sound more interesting but that doesn't mean I want to get DP'd by angry monsters at every turn...

Good thing the gear you earn is good.

EDIT:

 

So... that giant spider and the dragon ain't shit.

Ancient Rock Wraith wipes my party after I learned the kiting the damn thing with only Varric left would have taken me days to beat it.

The second time? Straight up internal knowledge of old-school video game bosses lead to find out:

-Hiding behind the stone pillars if the monster starts crackling like a faulty electical box...
-You gotta kill the little Profanes because they'll just shock your Mage to death...
-You need Varric to take pot-shots at the thing so you'll at least do some damage to it...

And most of all:

-Bring A LOT of health poultices/stamina draughts/lyrium poultices if you expect to live... Bring Elfroot Potions as well if you can afford them.

I killed that stone son of a bitch, got my trophy and now I'm looking at a mountain of treasure to go with that Level I EARNED.
