When I went to pay the rest of mine off...

(I traded in my old PS2 since I wasn't using it, had no PS2 games and they had a credit deal going for it [I paid $100 for it and I got $50 after having it for 5 years])

...the guy at the counter "accidentally" renewed the subscription to Game Informer I got with my new Edge card the first time around.

Had to sit there for 5 minutes, getting him to undo that shit, pay off the rest of the game and then letting my ass leave before I got any madder.

its a bit bigger than a standard game manual. its well designed and has some general info.

Can u play as a Quanari in DA2? under races its got human, elf, drawrf and quanari. Other than that little tid bit its got a map and general summary of the areas

everything else is stuff people who played origins would know

If it's the Special Edition guide, it'll have a few extra pages of design art from when they were drawing up what all the areas would look like in the game.

Also, there should be some interview segments from the folks that made the game.

As for the Qunari question, no you can't.

You're stuck playing a human and that's it (unless you swap group members during a fight to move them around).

I've been playing for the last few days. This game easily lives up to the hype. The only thing that sucks to me is that they reuse enviroments. So far all caves have the same layout. There are like 3 or 4 different house interiors.

With all the choices you have to make playing this game I could see myself with 3 or 4 playthroughs.

This is a big UGH for me. Not a game breaker, but definitely inexplicable, especially in the sense that they aren't just taking 1 step back, they're taking 3.

Hate reused environments....but I'm hoping it's because there's a metric fuckton of other content which prevents disc space issues.

If that is the case, I can forgive.

Nobody will know for themselves until the game officially releases tomorrow.

Right now, we're looking at Spell and Talent trees that will actually make you want to use everything you get (and upgrade them too) as opposed to leveling up just to get past two or three useless things to get that ice spell or that Shield Bash that dazes people.

The characters look better and more pronounced in their reactions now instead of the same putty faces and their LEGO haircuts (there's like maybe 5 total for dudes and chicks, plus a color palette of gray/red/brown/black/blonde).

It may be shorter and the controls are more user-friendly, but if it gets us DA:III, I'll gladly "suffer" for it.

Also of note:

If you got the Blood Dragon Armor DLC that came with every new copy of the DA:O, you'll get it also for DA:II when you register the game through EA online.

That's like the 32nd piece of DLC for the new game and I couldn't be happier... even if I decide to go on a "No-DLC" run, I can still sell all the stuff for extra gold early on.
