I had my fingers crossed so hard it hurt (even though I'd have ended up playing it either way)...so it's nice to see it's been so well received.

im getting the PC day 1 - cant wait. The reviews have looked fantastic

Got mine and the update is currently downloading while I'm on my phone taking a shit. GameStop by me was doing a 11:01 release instead of a 12:01 release and the GameStop dorks said that'll become the new trend which I can certainly get behind. Ready to fire up my Dalish Elf Rogue asap. I barely know what to expect. My body is ready.

I found it funny that there were less people in queue for this, FarCry 4 AND GTA V than there were for COD: AW.

Still, I'm not gonna care about getting another game for a WHILE after this.

I rerolled my elf and made a human rogue instead. The beards in this game required it.

On another subject:

I just put in about 6-7 hours real time on this game and I STILL haven't scratched the surface.

It was FANTASTIC to see old stomping grounds and familiar faces from the previous games...

As well as meeting some new ones who still felt like they belonged in the world the series is made up of.

...can't wait to play this tomorrow.

And one more thing:

I haven't even TOUCHED the MP yet and I REALLY want to see if it's up-to-snuff or not soon.

You can do real time combat like it was in the 2nd game or you can pause it and zoom out from above and issue commands similar to KOTOR. I've never done it that way though personally.

I mean I only recently played the first one and haven't touched the 2nd game since it was released. You can use The Dragon Age Keep to choose what happened in the first two games if you want. But the games codex is expansive enough that you can read up on the lore as you go along.

My cousin and I tried going through the multiplayer and even on the simplest difficulty we could see that it wasn't meant for teams of two to play, at least not until our characters level up a lot more.

Had a hell of a time w/ Knubb, Donny and my buddy John earlier tonight.

You are right that the game SPECIFICALLY handicaps you if you run w/ less than a full crew.

...or at least a group that hasn't been doing this for weeks on end.

There's still a MASSIVE amount of fun to be had for a mode that basically amounts to the Medieval Mass Effect 3 w/ the possibility of your MP characters showing up in the main game at some point.

And by that, I mean you allegedly see them chillin' w/ a pint against the wall somewhere in BFE, Fereldan.

So I've already seen Hawke but I'm REALLY hoping your character from the first game shows up at some point! I already had a conversation with Leliana (love interest from Origins) about my character from Origins. I was geeking out bad. I'm going to shit a brick if/when he shows up.

Forgot that after an initial convo w/ your new buds, you can go back and talk to them again.

It was interesting to hear what "The Seekers" were from the source, AKA Cassandra.

Pretty rad stuff considering...

 

If a Seeker showed up at a Mage Circle, the local Templars KNEW shit was about to go down.

Other than a few missions with Hawke I'm all caught up with my Mage to where I was with my Rogue. I like that right out of the gate you have to choose a side between the Templars and Mages. Went Mages the first time through and that was cool and all but going Templar this last time was way better. Cole's introduction is much better in the Templar mission so much better that I can't not have the guy (or spirit?) in my party from here on out.

What's everyone who's playing this now rolling with as far as their party? I got Iron Bull, Sera, and Cole along with my Qunari Mage. Quite the sight to see coming at you, two monstrous Qunari and then two rogues attacking from the shadows. Damn this game is awesome.
