I am now a fucking bad ass dual wielding BEAST.

I have Starfang and Maric's Sword....each enchanted, one with frost, one with fire (and darkspawn damage, gotta have it).

Just finished the Arl of Redcliffe and a whole bunch of side quests. It's me, Morrigan. Alistair and Wynne. Wynne is my healer/anti mage with mana clash; and Morrigan is my damage dealer. I do almost 150 damage with each normal hit. Fucking tits.

Level 12 plus DLC boosts are the shit, huh? :smug:

I personally got through Ostagar, Lothering, the Stone Prisoner and Warden's Keep DLC as a mage.

Switching up Alistair and Sten as the Tank while Morrigan supplimented my elemental magic damage and Leliana fires arrows/picks locks/opens locked chests.

Sten, for all his dialogue, 2H stats and 30+ STR used to wear the best armor early in-game... sucks.

I just don't want to use Alistair that much because even though he's a great Tank, I'm tired of going through the game hearing him bitch.

If you go to the Circle Tower, there's a Merchant that you can trade with before you start the "Broken Circle" quest.

Tell the guy you have it (dunno if there's a persuade check to see if you can get more money because I never did it myself) and go from there.

As for being a Noob, there's no such thing as long as you're willing to ask questions to get info about what you want out of the game.

That's how I found out about the Dragon Age Wiki page and how to get one of the best suits of armor in the game from a guy in Denerim.

I wish I had some of the DLC....

The DLC's mostly fluff aside from Golems of Amgarrak and Witch Hunt because they give you insight into what's going on in Dragon Age II.

Some of the other stuff (Warden's Keep and The Stone Prisoner) won't port over to Dragon Age: Awakening (which is a DLC itself) while other DLC does (Return to Ostagar, Golems..., Leliana's Song, Darkspawn Chronicles and Witch Hunt).

All the stuff that does port is basically gear you collect and some decisions you made.

I just finished all of Alistair's side quests, so I switched him out for Shale. She's a bad assed tank...I've played this game all the way through twice already, and haven't used Sten once.

I re-bought the game on PS3, the Ultimate Edition, just so I could play through and have some decisions carry over to DA2. I never got Awakenings on the 360, since I have like 3 KB of space left on my hard drive...it was almost a no-brainer. Nearly $100 worth of game for free...I traded in a ton of crap.

My guy on this game is WAY stronger than in my first game (as a two handed warrior). I'm level 14 now, and starting to build my Champion tree. Yellow named guys fall in 3 hits, most normal guys in 1...one of the only cheevos I didn't get on 360 was the "250 damage". I'm almost there. I did 228 today.

Gotta say after Redcliffe...

 

Playing an "evil" character is not for the feint of heart.

Shit, most of us know by now what happens if you don't save the village and go straight into the castle but damned if the end result of fighting with Connor is a bad one.

Stupidly, I missed my chance again to get the Blood Mage spec by killing Jowan in the dungeon...

This leads to me not wanting to go to the Circle Tower and get the mages this time around so I just wade through every zombie and corpse in the game to get to Connor...

Which leads to me fighting the brat and Isolde popping in at the last minute...

That finishes the quest with her killing Connor because again, I'm too lazy and I'm playing an "evil" character.

Alistair's going to be pissed when I get a hold of those Ashes on top of what I just did to Redcliffe.

...I may never choose any "evil" decisions on any other playthroughs again.

That's why you save right before an evil choice to get the cheevos.

I have all the trophies except for the 250 point hit, recruiting all the party members (including Loghain) through 3 playthroughs (Warrior, Mage and Rogue), all the evil quest decisions (kill the Dalish, put Harrowmont on the throne, save the Anvil) aside from Annuling the Circle...

I'm not happy that I already did a Warrior playthrough to the end and didn't know you had to get Loghain at the time.

That's 300+ hours I may have to do if I want to hit the Level cap each time.

...all for a friggin' Platinum and I haven't finished Awakening either. :facepalm:

Default Human Noble Warrior "Good" Playthrough be damned, I will have my cake and eat it too!

EDIT: And apparently the Witch and the Reformed Bard don't seem to like it when the local serving wench/new tavern owner gives me a Hero's Welcome.

There's plenty of Warden to go around people.

Just finished the main playthrough last night...

 

I let Morrigan have my baby so I could live to fight another day...the choice I DIDN'T make on the 360.

Alistair is king, without Anora because I had him execute Loghain.

I just started Awakenings, and I'm already liking Anders. I just leveled him up...mana clash AND crushing prison right off the bat? GTFO.

I'm a little "upset" that I have to roll up a Rogue sometime this weekend (almost finished with my Warrior Trophy Whore playthrough) due to the 250 pt Damage trophy I still need to get.

Stupid Bioware requiring 3 playthroughs to get the Recruiter trophy too (get everyone including the "secret companion" at the end)... luckily I'm at Orzammar as a Mage right now as well.

Platinum trophy, here I come.

My copy of Awakening is bugged as shit to the point where I'm going to need a guide so I successfully get everything without losing my gear, etc.

I know I can just look at DA Wiki for that but they don't tell you that if you walk into the wrong area, you can completely skip the part where you recruit Anders and Oghren inside the Keep.

I ended up importing a character I had from a finished game, doing all the mini-quests that let you into the Keep and walking to the area on the right of the Blacksmith shop.

Next cutscene I see has Invisible Oghren and Invisible Anders chatting it up, leaving me to fight the first Mini-Boss with the Red Shirt chick and almost dying had I not of brought a shit-ton of health poultices with me.
