Wouldn't mind it. He does seem wishy-washy on committing to the Nets, Brooklyn or no Brooklyn.

Dolan would find some way to fuck it up though.

I watch basketball, but for me a guy like Dwight Howard doesn't win championships. He is a great complementary piece.
An amazing athlete, no doubt, but if I'm in the NBA Finals I want the guy with the killer instinct and the results ... not the guy will the million dollar talent and OK will to win.

Actually, I think we just saw that final series.

They don't/won't have enough money to spend another superstar.

Even after Billups' contract comes off the books, the cap is coming down hard. They'll have to find a young/inexpensive PG and Center over the next few years.

Otherwise...wasted primes of Melo and Amar'e. :(

He is elite tell me how many dominant centers you can name in the NBA right now? Centers like him are hard to come by hes definitely worth the attention

The NBA is a perimeter game now. Dominant centres are nice, but don't win championships. The rule changes have changed the game from the Ewing-Olajuwon-Shaq eras.
I don't deny he is an elite centre, low-post player ... but those guys don't win championships in this era.

He won a ship as recently as 07.. the game hasnt changed all that much in the last 10 years Dave.. With the right pieces around him Dwight could easily help lead a championship team. No star is doing it on their own anymore. Pair him up with Deron Williams or Chris Paul and it would be pretty deadly.
 
To say Dwight Howard would not be a huge difference in a Finals series where he's not the #1 (and only) weapon on a team is ridiculous.

There's no one like him so of course guys of his ilk aren't the norm. I'd pay my left nut to switch him with Amar'e...in a heartbeat.
 
I'd love Dwight on the Hawks too. He may not have all the bullshit "killer instinct" stuff that the pop psychologists look for but he can fucking dominate a game at any point, he's a physical specimen that you just can't find anywhere else in the league.
