With this year's E3 kicking off on Monday, it's time we started to discuss the news coming out of Los Angeles.

Microsoft gets things started with their press conference at 10:30 AM (PDT) on Monday, followed by the EA conference at 2 PM and Ubisoft's at 5 PM (PDT). Nintendo is the main focus at 9 AM Tuesday, followed thereafter by Sony at 11 AM. Officially, the LA Convention Center is opened up on Tuesday to the crazed nerds who call themselves "game journalists" and won't get a break until Thursday.

Some big rumors include the all but confirmed announcement of the PSP Go!, a new Metal Gear Solid, and a new motion peripheral for the 360.
 
im so pumped, last year was the 1st time I really payed attention to it. G4 is real good during E3
 
Isn't this at least the third E3 thread? LOL.

Anyone find it interesting that Nintendo is only slotted two hours for their keynote? I'm guessing because they have the industry by the balls and Reggie Fils Amie (or however you fucking spell it) could basically walk out on stage and pull his cock out and lie it on a bar stool for two hours and the Wii and DS would still sell billions of units.

Apparently there is speculation that Sony is going to be offering a download rental type service for PSP games. If that thing takes off then it will only be a matter of time before they move to the PS3. That shit could change everything.

Would it even be possible, though? With the PSP, games are much smaller and there wouldn't be any problems with space. But how would they compress games that use dual layer Blu-Rays into a reasonable size? Rentals would work with the games that Sony already offers completely over the PSN (SOCOM, Warhawk, Burnout I think), but so many others would be left out.

If they could figure out how to somehow compress the bigger games into workable sizes, downloadable rentals could be amazing.

I'm not sure how they could/would do it but if they can do it with a game like Burnout they could do it with anything. I don't think space would be a HUGE issue just because the games would be 'rentals', therefore they would only be store on your hard drive temporarily and then deleted. I honestly don't think there are really any games out there now that come close to using all of the space on a blu-ray anyway, except maybe MGS4?
 
hm, Final Fantasy VII may be available for Download via PSN some time. That could be a little thing they announce at E3..bringing back more classics.
 
Yea, G4 will have buku covereage all day long tomorrow. Im pretty sure they will be showing all 3 companies pressers live. Then in between the press conferences they will have different people on as guests. Game developers, the talking heads of different game makers. EA and madden will more than likely show up on there.

If you dont have a job, But i highly recommend recording it and watching not live. I fast forward through tons of crap I dont care about.

And I think Twigg is right, this is the third E3 that G4 is going to show.

All of the above more than likely. I've never actually watched EA's conference, but I'm guessing it will be like 50-60 percent focused on their action oriented games and 40-50 percent focused on their EA Sports offering.

G4 will be having 22 hours of live coverage from the show over four days. Their E3 coverage is pretty good all things considered. Elsewhere, some of the bigger gaming websites (Gamespot, IGN) will be having live streams of the conferences and tons of content from the show floor.

Hmm... the press conference has been somewhat odd so far. Starts out with The Beatles Rock Band, followed by two other multiplatform games. Now they're onto exclusives... on Xbox Live?

I'm guessing they're saving the best for last. Granted, the games they've showed were pretty cool, but there has yet to be any heavy hitters yet.
