I've been doing quite a bit of looking at articles on this in the past few minutes, and it seems to be the conclusion that everything is drawing. It makes a lot of sense since recently Microsoft has pushed this console to be an entertainment console.

I couldn't give a rats ass about a Kinect, and Netflix blows, so it's not like I'd buy it anyways. But now that I see what's really going on, I can see it being decent for some non hardcore gamers.
 
Looks like we'll be able to stream Microsoft's presentation through the Xbox this year.

For the first time ever, Microsoft is allowing Xbox Live users to watch its entire E3 press conference live through the console's dashboard.

Microsoft's E3 2012 press conference is called "Xbox: Entertainment Evolved" and begins at 9:30 AM Pacific Time on June 4. It will run for 90 minutes total.

The website for this invitation-only press conference says Sony will be sharing more about "the new PlayStation lineup, products, and services that will drive the upcoming year in entertainment."

Sony CEO Kaz Hirai previously said the company will make no new hardware announcements at E3, so we'll just have to wait and see what else they plan to roll out.

The conference kicks off at 6:00 PM Pacific Time and will be streamed online here.

Shocking. Twigg doesn't get it and cries "boo MS!" Never heard that before.

It's a contract service, like getting a phone. Simple as that. I can buy any phone I want at full price and pay for month to month service as I like/want to use it. I can seek out the best cost or specials or what have you in a given month. I have complete freedom. I also spend, in some cases, 300 or more for the phone. Or, I can do what most people do: get a phone at a super discounted rate from Verizon or AT&T and agree to pay for 2 years of their service, regardless of how much I use them. How scandalous!

I also like how MS is trying to dupe stupid people with this deal, which was given a soft announcement at best, and is really only something that game magazines/forums/etc...are talking about. Stop trying to dupe the uninformed public MS with your MS store only deal that is totally just you trying to test a potential future business model!

The last couple of weeks leading up to E3 have been good for anyone that loves insider information. Today’s leak is the largest one yet, and comes from Microsoft. The people behind "Xbox" and "Xbox Live" will be revealing the Xbox Smart Glass tablet behind closed doors to a select group of people. In the official “Microsoft Confidential” presentation, they specifically noted this:

Xbox Smart Glass is a companion application for Xbox LIVE that will allow users to control their Xbox (e.g., transport controls, content discovery and search). The Xbox Smart Glass companion application will be optimized for Windows Tablets and Phones and also made available to iOS/Android Tablets and Phones.
Activities will be made available within the Xbox Smart Glass companion application. Activities will be tied to existing and new applications on Xbox (e.g., Zune Music will have an activity). We will demo Xbox Smart Glass experiences for nearly all of our major brand partners at E3 (existing plus new partners).
The Xbox Smart Glass companion application will have the ability to play video on Tablets/Phones and send the videos to Xbox to play on the TV.
Additionally, we will demo Xbox Smart Glass capabilities (see slide 12) but at no time will we show any video content playing on a Tablet/Phone device.

Brink's excited for SimCity, Twigg wants more Vita, Mrs. Twigg wants more Assassin's Creed...
