Seriously, you HONESTLY don't think that the NBA refs are told to give special considerations to Kobe and LeBron, as well as their teams?

You can't sit there and honestly tell me that there's no foul play involved. Even you know damn well that Stern is sitting there WISHING UPON WISHES that it's LeBron/Kobe in the Finals. The refs can only help so much. The game should have been over in regulation and they were able to at least extend it to overtime on a phantom call to give golden boy another shot at taking over the newsreels for another three days.

NBA referees have been nearly criminal during Stern's era.
I suspect you could simply Google or YouTube "NBA referees" and come up with 1,000 questionable calls that affected the outcome of games, the point spread or series themselves.

That foul on Lebron tonight is a prime example why people don't trust NBA referees or Stern.

I met a guy in Vegas - a frequent sports gambler who lives there - who says he wouldn't touch pro sports with his money ever. The belief is both the NBA and NFL are incredibly rigged with bad referees.

Edit: And don't kid yourselves, this series is far from over. How dramatic and hype-filled would it be for Lebron and the Cavs to come back from 3-1 to win this series?

i would love to see Nuggets vs Cavs just so we could get our 1st championship, but i think the Nuggets/Magic would be better, maybe not ratings wise, but fans would like it.

if i were the commissioner, i too would want kobe vs lebron, but they'll be in the league for a long time, so dont worry about it, these 2 will remain at the top of their games, and i expect to hear this same stuff next season

I don't believe in all the "it's scripted/rigged" crap. I just think people hate favorites.

Let's be honest, if there weren't any of the "favorites/bad guys", no one would watch sports. You may hate seeing Kobe score at will, "get calls", or watch the Lakers win, but can you really live without them? If there are no Kobes or LeBrons in the league, you lose a lot of the game. And sure, there may be some refs who may be "pulling the strings", but how much can they really control? They don't shoot the basketball, they don't call the plays, etc. And remember this as well: we're watching the game at optimal angles. They're watching it live from wherever they are on the floor. A foul that is invisible to us may look like one to them. What we may think is a no-call may just be a nice slight of hand by the players to make it look as if it is a foul from where the ref is watching. Just look at some of the technical fouls that are assessed. Sometimes, the ref only catches the second action even though the first action may have been more aggressive. However, it's the reaction that catches the refs' eye. It's a part of the game.

I actually hope you're right, but when I watch an NBA game, I look at it like watching WWE Raw. I know I'll probably be entertained, I also know there's a good chance Vince McMahon/David Stern have already decided the outcome.

the cavs offense outside of james has just fallen apart. we’re talking about 3 games decided by a total of 4 points, and non-lebron cavs have shot .425 from the field and .231 from 3pt (lebron is at .509 FG and .333 3pt). meanwhile orlando is at .493 FG and .429 3pt after four games

the cavs offense has fallen apart outside of James because essentially every play is ran for James.... what happened to the high pick and rolls/pick and fades Mo and Z used to run.... dont happen anymore...... Lebron gets the b all essentially 30 feet from the basket and everyone watches 75 percent of the time.... the Cavs need an offensive cooridnator badly
