He, along with Stanford Keglar, were cut today to make room for two linebackers, since we are without David Thornton and Gerald McRath for the first four games.
I'm bummed that Blount's gone because he looked pretty good in pre-season, but Tim Shaw is a good special teams player and is a better option IMO than Collin Allred. Plus he's a Penn State guy.

Nickey should have been cut years ago. Also, why did Robert Johnson make it? I didn't see anything that impressed me from him.
Maybe we can pick up Blount for PS, but I highly doubt it.

Harrell couldn't win a starting job with the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the CFL. Why he even got invited to an NFL camp is beyond me.
He didn't look bad.
Yes! I saw it was speculated, I'm glad we claimed him. As for the practice squad taking shape, I was glad we hung on to Toone, Callaway, Campbell and Pratt.

Harrell really should have stayed in the CFL and tried to pull a Jeff Garcia.
Instead, he fails in both leagues.
I'm not saying he's a bad QB, but clearly he thought he was bigger than the CFL - which he clearly wasn't.
There are so many young American QBs who could do a lot worse than to come to Canada for 3-4 years and develop their game.
