Sometimes a young kid just isn't ready for the NFL - or they're not ready for him - so the CFL serves as a bridge, giving those young QBs a chance to throw the ball.

Yes, the games are different, but that gap is closing considerably. Look at the Patriots running that damn spread offence.

The CFL would be a great place for Harrell, Pat White, etc... to develop. Instead, they think they're too big for Canada. Their loss.
Now they just end up being greeters in Atlantic City or as Wal-Mart assistant managers, instead of playing the game they love.

Jeff Garcia was already good coming into the league.

Warren Moon pretty much did develop his game in the NFL. He was a star in Canada, when he came into the NFL he had to be developed.

And again Theismann wasn't developed as an NFL QB in the CFL. He had a couple years as a backup. Then there were a few years he came in and played in games while being a backup. Again Theismann was developed in the NFL.

Just because a few guys played in the CFL doesn't mean they were developed there. The games are entirely different. Just because they are both called 'football' doesn't mean they are the same game. Kurt Warner developed his game in the Arena league. Should half the backups in the NFL go there and develop their game?

Harrell doesn't need any help running the spread, I think he covered that at Texas Tech.

You look at the differences: The field is much larger, 12 players instead of 11, you get 3 downs, motion before the play is different, 25 yard endzones if I'm not mistaken.

I would much rather a player go to the UFL where the games are almost identical.

You watched Warren Moon just like you watched Josh Freeman's slow delivery last year? He was developed in the NFL whether you like it or not. He wasn't a star coming into the NFL.

There are a lot more guys that have gone to the CFL to 'develop' than you know and because of the tons of guys that have gone because 2 were supposedly successfully developed there now a lot of the leagues backups should go?
