In the meantime, I can't sell Best, Shola, Raylor, or Nolan for free.

I think it has to do a lot with the larger use of the reputation feature. I have made a couple signings though, ones which I am really happy with. For some reason, this is probably my most 'English' game ever. I have also been raiding the lower divisions of English football like never before (Hobbs, Wickham, Cairney)

Connor Wickham - £2.1 mil from Ipswich (promising young English striker)
Thiago - Free from Barcelona (he is one of their wonderkids. He refused to even talk to me in season, but once he was out of contract, became much more receptive. A fat contract helped as well)
Tom Cairney - £3.5 mil from Hull (another lower league player, great creative midfielder)

I am also hopeful of bringing in Jonathon de Guzman and ideally another rightback. Will also look for a cheap reserve keeper

I wanted Tevez so bad but Man City wouldn't budge. I offered them as much as 25 million pounds and they said no.

Cairney was a nice pick up CB. He's been really solid for me and is a good young player.

Results from Everton:

That Carling Cup win proved to be the only thing that kept us in European competition for the upcoming season.

Transfers that have already been put through for the summer window are Arteta leaving for Milan for $12.5m, and Beckford to Fulham for $4m.

I'll be searching for a left winger, fullback, and a striker in the summer window for sure.

Three games into preseason and I'm starting to get pretty carried away. I beat Anderlecht 2-0, Livingston 6-0 and drew Villareal 3-3. Probably would've won the game but I went down 3-1 20 minutes in when I was using my normal tactics instead of one's I would use against a better team. That's not really why I'm excited though, through my initial 6mil, plus a few sales I've been able to get Per Ciljan for 4mil, James McFadden on loan, and RvN on a free. All have looked good, but what's more promising is their backups have looked even better. Jonas has been awesome, and I have a lot of young players who have really stepped up, LuaLua, Vuckic, Edmundsson, Gai Assulin, and Nile Ranger have all played really well. If this keeps up, and I'll probably buy one more, I should finish mid-table pretty easily.

Picked up nine points from my first six, pretty happy with that, two wins, three draws, and a a loss to Liverpool. I think I've found pretty good tactics as well.
