As the boss you’ll also have full control of team affairs away from the pitch:

New & improved key features for Football Manager 2012:

Manage Anywhere, Anytime – the ability to add or take away playable nations in your saved game as often as you want. Manage in that country at the start of the next season - meaning you don’t have to decide on which nations are playable at the start of your career.

Transfers & Contracts – significant changes to the transfer and contract systems, including loyalty bonuses, better implementation of amateur and youth contracts, an improved transfer centre and the ability to lock areas of the contract negotiation when you aren't prepared to budge. This helps you to manage your budgets and gives you flexibility in what you offer money hungry players, or agents, as incentives.

Scouting improvements – using several real life scouting reports, a new in-game report was devised which includes squad analysis, tactics information and information about goals scored and conceded alongside lots of other scouting improvements, giving you all the information you need to prepare before kick-off and throughout the season.

3D Match Improvements – new animations, a whole new crowd system, improved weather system, more stadiums, plus two brand new cameras - "Behind Goal" and "Director Cam" as well as all other camera angles being reversible - meaning you can watch and analyse every aspect of every game.

Intelligent Interface – a new adaptive layout system, which means the higher your screen resolution, the more info is easily at your fingertips. The new interface also contains new filters, customisable columns, a new tactics screen, and lots of new overview screens.

Tone – a whole new level has been added to team talks and conversations, with the new tone system, which allows you to specify the way you want to say things – be as cool as a cucumber by saying things calmly or throw tea cups around by saying things with passion. There are 5 different tones to choose from with specific comments per tone.

Brand New Tutorial – standing separate from the main game, a mode to help new players find their way around the game easily, whilst also offering tips to experienced managers on how to get the most out of the game, as well as a new in-game “how to” system.

On top of these key innovations, there are lots of areas of the game that have had huge improvements, such as the media system, press conferences, the youth system, newgens, the social networking options, friendlies, international management and many more which will be detailed in a series of video blogs over the coming months, alongside more information about Football Manager 2012.

FIFA Manager 12 features improvements to virtually all areas of the game, including major enhancements to the 3D mode, finances, transfers, the calendar and online. Changes to the 3D mode create a more realistic experience, and include new logic, new player artificial intelligence, and marked improvements to tactics, substitutions and the conduct of opposing managers. In addition, a new intuitive user interface makes it possible for players to retrieve all the data relevant to the game within seconds and to issue precise tactical instructions to ther teams.


The financial mode is now more authentic with on-the-pitch success impacting revenue, and realistic differences in revenue generated through jersey sponsors between clubs. In the transfer section, managers can now field players in trial training and in real matches. Managers can also commission a detailed analysis of the squad so the team's weak points can be specifically eliminated. A whole range of new options will be available in the calendar, from the charity gala to direct friendly match queries, and training can once again be planned and implemented on a daily basis.


FIFA Manager 12 also contains a host of improvements to the online mode, and premium features from previous years are now included and available to all players. Online improvements include an extensive avatar editor, the option of creating fantasy leagues, and a large number of new statistics.


FIFA Manager 12 is developed for EA SPORTS by Bright Future studio in Cologne. The game will be available for the PC this autumn.

FIFA MANAGER 12 is the 11th edition of the franchise, featuring more than 700 improvements across the board with a special focus on the offline mode. In the game the manager has full control over the management of a football club. You are responsible for the line-up, the tactics and the training of your team - and for signing the right players, improving the club facilities and the stadium.


Special highlights are the FIFA license, the FIFA 3D engine, more than 41,000 licensed players (more than 13,000 of them with original player pictures), the player manager mode, the national team manager mode, the Create-a-Club mode and the Match Prognosis Tool. The game also includes a comprehensive editor.


- 3D Mode

A special highlight this year is the 3D match of FIFA MANAGER 12. For many players this is the core element of the game and this year an entire team with a dedicated designer and several artists and engineers worked exclusively on the gameplay of this mode.


The result is a completely new player AI and huge improvements in areas like realistic substitutions, tactics and tactical changes during the match, e.g. after a sent-off. The new intuitive user interface gives the manager full control to get all the player data or to make tactical changes instantly -- by simply clicking on a player and doing the changes on the fly. It is no longer required to open comprehensive screens to change tactics!


- New Club Facilities

25 different buildings with 289 extension levels were created. In addition you can own up to three stadiums with a capacity of up to 120,000 seats directly on your club grounds.



Also every extension level has an effect on other parts of the game. Buildings wear out and must be renovated. As a manager you must make frequent important decisions to develop the perfect strategy for the future of your club.



- Finances

The Finance area of FIFA MANAGER 12 is completely new. Clubs and managers now must gain financial trust first by successful management. A realistic income of the main sponsors helps to represent the differences between the big and the small clubs realistically in the game. There is even a share market for all the clubs who went public.



Also the sponsor options were vastly extended. There is now a pyramid of sponsors of various sizes and with different commitment. It is possible to launch a sponsor campaign to find new candidates for possible co-operations. Also the main sponsor becomes more important and it is an important task of every manager to keep them happy.



- Transfer Market

In the Transfer section it is now possible to test players on trial in friendly matches. It is also possible to commission a squad analysis to find the weak positions in your team and to sign the right players.



The AI managers will use this kind of analysis as well and this will make the transfers in the game even more realistic. They even try to sell players that do not want to extend their contracts if their existing contract only runs for one more season.



- Classic areas in a new look

A whole range of new options will be available to you in the calendar. From the charity event to direct friendly match queries and extending to lactate tests, no wishes are left unfulfilled.



In FIFA MANAGER 12 the training can once again be planned and implemented on a daily basis in individual units. The player development was made more realistic here which makes the games even more challenging especially at the higher difficulty levels. A special fitness coach will now also offer you his services from the start of the season.

In the Weekly Progress sequence that can now be configured you can select your favourite statistics in a targeted manner and, for instance, precisely track the training or the building progress on the club facilities.

The instant calculation, the cooperation with your Board, the player talks, interviews and the Personal Life feature were also extended.

Decided to start up a game with West Ham. Downloaded a file that is up to date on transfers up until the Nasir deal and I've turned off the first transfer window in order to keep teams how they are until at least the January window. Also, the recently promoted/relegated teams are in the right leagues.

I'm almost into 2016 in my original Everton save. I've gone away from English players a bit and went towards more Spanish/Brazilan. Trying to go back to the home base players by selling off my young foreigners. Selling Bojan for $28 mil, my 21 year old Brazilian LB for $15 mil, and my 20 year old Spanish Wonderkid LB for $20 mil. I'm bringing in Andy Carrol, $10 mil, and Srna, $3.4 mil (there are no good English RBs).

I'm liking the game so far. The learning curve is pretty steep compared to Premier Manager. I started with the Blue Square Bet South team Weston-super-Mare because it's easier to learn the ropes with a smaller team. It's been tough going because I've started out by cleaning house and that really disrupts your team morale. Almost everyone on my team is vastly overpaid compared to what's available on the free transfer market. If they don't shitcan me after my first season, I think I can eventually turn this club around.

Can I get relegated below the Blue Square Bet division? It says I'm in danger of relegation but what the hell is below the BSB?
