Football Manager

The United game brought about some bad morale and we struggled to a win over 1860 and a lame draw with Dortmund (in which we should have lost).

However, a comprehensive 3-1 win over Leverkusen has given us a 3 point lead over them at the top of the table with 5 games to go. Two home (Hannover and Mainz) and three away (Frankfurt, Bochum and Werder). I think we can wrap up the title (Frankfrut, Mainz and Bochum are all bottom 4, plus we beat Werder 4-1 last time).

Leverkusen has Schalke, Stuttgart and Wolfsburg. Not great, but tougher than my sched

Should I hold out, it will be Bayern's first title since 2010 (in 2016 now)
 
Beat Hannover 2-0 to get my three point lead as Leverkusen drew with schalke. Lead is effectively four as I have a hefty GD advantage. Win two out of my final three and we are champs!

Felt good in the Hannover game. Eto and Muller were struggling, shifted formations and brought on Robben and Gomez. Those guys ended up with a goal each. Tactical genius!
 
Newcastle is sitting fifth. David Moyes took over after me, a good signing IMO. They can get to third if results break right on the final match day
 
Muller took home Footballer of the Year and Goal of the Year. Kroos won Midfielder of the Year (and thanked me for it). Schweiny was second, and Georgy Schennikov was second in the defender of the year award

My only loss of the season was the 7-0 tonking to Man U.
 
Newcastle took 1 point from their last 15 available to finish 7th again. Unfortunately, because of Liverpool's Cup placement, they finish out of Europe. Ouch.
 
Brought in Hoilett from Newcastle for £7 mil. I like having pacey direct wingers on the right side of the formation and he will do a good job in rotation with Martin Owen.

Ribery set a retirement date for the end of the season. Wish I could get him off the books earlier.

Biggest decision left to make this offseason is with Gomez. Poor goal scoring form and he doesn't offer a lot otherwise. Could probably still get £10 mil or so for him, but I don't like the idea of selling a German national. However, there are three talented guys in line and I think Eto'o will see a lot of games.

Schweinsteiger and Lahm are getting old, but it think David Alaba and jerome boateng will be able to step in as time demands.

Transer budget was only £15 mil. Lots of money in the bank though
 
Sent Gomez to PSV for £12.5 mil and then Ruminegge sold a young Turk striker to Wolfsburg for £8.5 mil. Took the proceeds and bought Connor Wickham from Sunderland for £22 mil
 
For the first time ever, I had my keeper sent off. Had to put Jerome Boateng in goal as I don't usually carry one on the bench. It got embarrassing, he didn't even move for shots
 
Black day in the EPL as Brendan Rogers gets fired by City and David Moyes is let go by Newcastle. Sitting 13th and 10th in the table respectively
