fumble mini game...

am i the only one who hatews this piece of shit? i scramble to get aplayer to the ball only to have to mash buttons to keep it on the ground? this can be turned off and i would like to hear the community's thoughts on leaving it out of VSN sanctioned games.

agreed, supposedly player ratings and number of players you have in the pile up are more important than how fast you hit the buttons or at least thats what the guide says

i saw what dave wrote, i personally liked the vision cone, but this fumble game is weak sauce. anyone who plays me please tunr it off in the pre game menu. i will do the same if i am home.

This. An opponent fumbled against me, and I had one guy dive on it with another guy right next to him. Two seconds later his guys come flying in, start a pile up, and he gets it.

The only way the pile up is good is if there's actually two players fighting for the ball when it hits the ground. None of this "let's try and steal it from them" crap.

I win a decent amount so I'm not complaining cause I lose them. It's just retarded when clear possession turns into a fight and you're caught off guard.

I can't say I haven't seen a fumble where I clearly saw one guy pounce on the ball only to see it in someone else's hands.

However, in the instance where one guy clearly jumps on it first, he should win the majority of the time and it seems like this feature doesn't give the advantage, it always treats it as if it equal opportunity to get the ball.

I'm pretty sure advantage in the button mashing "scuffle" is given to the person who lands on the ball 1st. At least it seemed that way to me.

On 2 different fumbles, I landed on it first and was easy for me to maintain possession whereas the 2nd, I landed on it 2nd and I was nowhere near getting the ball away from them.

I think theyre just meh....I had one against Saluki...coulda swore I won the ball back, my players were jumpin around, next thing you know, hes got the damn ball. Ya its just meh

Loved the vision cone, one of the best things Madden has ever incorporated but the fumble mechanic does annoy me. I need to play more games and get a taste of it more frequently to really pass judgement but after a few instances I hate it.

I agree, 05 or 06 whenever it was was my favorite madden ever that had the vision cone.

next thing you know someone will be playing madden and figure out a glitch to force fumbles, then they'll play with their street fighter controller with the "turbo" button. They just hold that down and win every fumble no thanks
