In TV only world are we supposed to know who did it ? There were 3 people with motive there. It was definitely the wine ?
I read the cake had been tampered with by Cersei with a piece meant for the new queen but she fed Joffrey instead.

I assumed the old lady or the arab dude verbal jousting with the lannisters did it.

Also glad to see him dead but man I loved to hate Joffrey.

Nah, I'd say no. I knew what to look for and still missed it/it wasn't really there. It does look like if it isn't partially revealed next week, it will at least be heavily hinted at. At least, that's what it looked like to me in the preview.

That's what I was just thinking...now that it's sunk in, I don't really despise any of the characters nearly as much as I did Joffrey.

Kinda bummed that I don't hate anyone else that much now.

Funny you mention that, I avoided Twitter all night cuz I knew shit would be on there. I had the app open in my tablet and accidentally saw someone posted about the ending. I was all like :rage: but so stoked for it to happen.

Here you go, be wary of spoilers -- particularly regarding the poison -- I won't give it all away but some:

 

1. Cersei did not have a child with King Robert. All of them are born of incest from Jaime. Remember in season 1 the whole "the seed is strong" thing? Basically, Robert's never had a kid (and he's had a bunch of bastards) that doesn't have dark hair. All 3 of the "Baratheon" children are practically bleach blonde. So yeah, you ask someone like Stannis, he's going to say that Tommen is also an abomination.

2. Sansa's necklace was poison. Lady Olenna (Margery's grandmother or the Queen of Thorns) swiped one of the jewels from the necklace, and off camera, dropped it into Joff's wine. There's a lot more to it that should play out in the next couple of episodes, though.

3. Not sure what you mean here. It was a pie, and the wine was what was poisoned.

4. I can't recall exactly, but the books are unique to the show. Every chapter is from a character's POV. This particular scene is played out in its entirety between Sansa and Tyrion. As such, I don't recall a comment to his reaction, but I'm assuming it would be similar to the show -- immediately do the practical thing and go to the next king.

Oberyn is sick. Not sure what his character is like in the book but I like the actor casted. Seems like a dude I will be a fan of.

The Martells are my favorite house. Wait until you meet Oberyn's daughters, the Sand Snakes. And his niece Aryanne.

Regarding Tywin's reaction, he doesn't really give a fuck. He knows that Joffrey was a sick little shit and now that Tommen is so young, Tywin knows that he'll be the acting ruler for the Realm for a lot longer since it will take longer for Tommen to come of age. Also, Tommen isn't a monster like Joffrey.

Theon captured Winterfell to impress his father, Roose convinced Robb Stark to let his bastard (Ramsay) get it back. Ramsay convinced Theon's cohorts (iron islanders) to bail on Theon. Ramsay takes him prisoner because he is valuable as the heir to the Iron Islands lordship and since he is a psycho, he tortures Theon.

The Iron Islanders (Theon's family) hold an important crossing region called Deepwood Motte. Roose sent Ramsay and Reek (nee Theon) to get it back. Roose also sent Locke (guy who chopped of Jaime's hand) to find Rickon and Bran Stark, the Stark boys everyone thinks Theon killed.

Hope this makes sense.
