As great as Brett is, he's the second best QB in GB history. Packersfan4eve sounds like a true GB fan.

I disagree. I have favre in my top 5 greatest quarterbacks of all time. Starr had only 5 good seasons in which he won 2 superbowls. Favre has been great throughout his career and won 1 superbowl, 3 MVP's, has been to multiple probowls and he has too many records to count.

Bob Griese was not a "great" QB. He played "good" on great teams and won a couple Super Bowls. Csonka, Zach Thomas, Jason Taylor, Warfield, and Larry Little would come before Griese IMO.

You can say what you want, the fact remains that our two franchises are franchises that share a similar history. You should be happy at the mere mention of Unitas in the Indianapolis Colts' history.

Bmore, the franchise is still the same franchise. It's nothing like say, the Ravens/Browns situation where a team's history, records and identity basically switched from one franchise to another.

Sorry, but Starr lead GB to 5 Championships in a span of 7 years. And he put up good passing numbers in a pre "let's make it easy to pass" era.

Plus, Starr was CLUTCH in BIG games. Brett really wasn't. I love Brett, but

Brett was very inconsistent in the playoffs during that last decade of his career. Look at Starr's numbers in CLUTCH games. And THAT stellar league of today, still makes it easier for passing and offense in general, and much more difficult for defenses, than the league Starr played in.

Starr - Clutch in HUGE games.

I love Brett. Thrilled he was a Packer. GB had two of the best QB's in NFL history. But Brett was very inconsistent during the playoffs.

2nd to last play: Tried to be slick on a quick snap and air mailed the ball right into Andre Goodman's hands for an INT.
last play of career: illegal forward pass on a lateral play and getting laid out on his back by Yeremiah Bell after releasing it.
