Side Note: Bears will Not, I repeat will NOT get Boldin or any other Big Name WR... THe NFC North is big on tradition and the Bears tradition is Strong Defense and a Excellent Run Game... They were never know for a QB and/or WR's.

If the Bears were so concerned with "the tradition of a strong running game and defense" why would they give up two first rounders, a third rounder, and their starting QB for Jay Cutler?

Second, the Bears actually contacted Arizona on draft day about trading for Boldin. They called to see if their 2nd Rd selection would have been enough to get him away from Arizona, plus some other picks thrown in. Arizona declined. So yes, the Bears were pursuing Boldin as recently as 3 days ago.

When I (and any other sane person) read that quote, what you are saying is that because a team ran a strong defence in the past, means that there is no way for them to change their identity. Apparently all four teams in the division are going to be stuck in a football version of groundhog day, trying to do the same formula over and over again.

Heck, if we are going to talk about tradition, why is Sage Rogenfels the QB in Minny? Why not just let Tavaris Jackson run around with his head cut off like Fran Tarkenton? I mean he has a good defence behind him, they can call themselves the Purple People Eaters vol 2.

It was obvious the tradition you were referring to is that of the NFC North being the 'Black and Blue' division. Firsttimer's point, again, as sane people can see, is that the 'Black and Blue' division is a misnomer now. The Vikings were home to a record setting offence 10 years ago. You can't seem to get your point straight, as you seem to think that Minnesota wants to return to the Cunningham/Carter/Moss years, while ignoring the fact that if anything they are trying to become a smash mouth team with AP. They need a QB and a WR just to try and give him some space, not to become some air it out team.

Here's another one: In the days immedietly following the season GM Jerry Angelo at his press conference said the Bears were "obsessed" with fixing the QB position and getting it right because it's the most important position on the field and wins you ball games. Talk about missing the point...Follow me here. Rex Grossman since 2006 hasn't done anything. The QB position for the Bears for the most part hasn't for it's history. Which is why the team has only been to two Super Bowls and the team has been average the last two seasons.

The point is the Bears brought in Rex to do something. To be a franchise QB and lead them. If they were so concerned with this tradition of running the football and defense only then they would not have spent a 1st Rd pick on him.

I showed you that the NFC North gives two shits about the "tradition" of running the football and strong defense being it because you've had teams for the last 19 years in the division chucking the football around, or at least attempting. This proves your point wrong. If the NFC North was so worried about their "tradition" you wouldn't have teams wanting to find QB's and throwing the ball around they way they have been/have been wanting to for 19 years.

But really. Maybe add Fargas and Huff too. It's better than having him not play in Arizona though..

DHB at best would be the 3rd WR on Arizona's depth chart.. and honestly I don't think he'd beat out Doucet or maybe even Urban at this point.

Since I didnt really knw a lot about Patrick Chung I wasnt to sure about him. But since I have read and seen videos on him think he will fit perfectly into the Patriots defense. He is a close to the line type player just like Rodney Harrison was and could be perfect for filling the void since Harrison might retire this season. With Brandon Meriweather having a pretty good season I think our secondary will be pretty good this year.

I also think drafting Ron Brace and Darius Butler were good moves. With Seymour and Wilfork both have expiring contracts coming within the next year and we probably wont get to keep both (hopefully we keep Wilfork) so he could be a replacement.

I give the patriots draft a B. I cant give them higher because I have to see how they pan out.

Since I didnt really knw a lot about Patrick Chung I wasnt to sure about him. But since I have read and seen videos on him think he will fit perfectly into the Patriots defense. Chung made a name for himself very early on at Oregon but seemed to hit his peak half-way through his college career.

I don't know what happened, but there was a lot of hype surrounding Chung as he was a 4 year starter but it's almost as if his game-play capped out during his sophomore and junior seasons.

With the right coaching and in the right system, I think there is a lot of room for him to develop.
