Another of the players was so bothered by what he saw last year that he sent a text message to Yankees outfielder Curtis Granderson, telling him to look out for someone at Rogers Centre relaying signs. Granderson recently confirmed that he received that text and says he was looking from the bench during one game when he was serving as DH.

Lets look at some numbers and I'll use the Chicago White Sox and their +45HR home rate in the same OPS model applied to Toronto

But again, Comisky or US Cellular or whatever it is they call that place now is a notorious HR hitting park, and always has been. These splits are probably not all that abnormal.

Rogers only became a top HR park during this suspicious period in question, with batted ball HR% rates that simply do not add up or correspond with what the Jays have done on the road, and seven times the normal home/visitor deviation. I mean, that's a huge leap.

Toronto: .259 BA, .296 OBP, .497 SLG, .793 OPS
Atlanta: .241 BA, .291 OBP, .386 SLG, .676 OPS


So Yunel gained 100 points in slugging and Sea Bass lost 100, within the same season. No wonder Yunel has "figured things out" so well in Toronto. Cheating fucks.

That data is irrelevant if you don't take into account park factors for both teams.

Those teams are all + HR at home because they play in the most HR friendly ballparks in the majors.

Rogers Centre certainly isn't unfriendly.

It's not uncommon for the Blue Jays, who were not a very good team at all during this span other than 90-93, to hit many HR's at home.

If the team is playing to hit HR's they will hit them at home. This is not uncommon. For them to have a big + year like 2010 is no different than a big - year like 1997, especially when you factor in they have the best HR hitter in baseball. (which I guess is up for dispute with you guys despite hitting road HR's)

Would that be one of the 4 sections in straight away centre that are closed and covered in black tarp? they said you wouldn't even have to turn your head, or move your gaze. There's TWO spikes correct? One in 2006 and one in 2010.

Wyers found that for every ball that batters made contact with in 2010, Rogers added .011 home runs, up from a rate of just .002 from 2005 to 2009. That puts Rogers Centre in 2010 among the top 3 percent of home run ballparks since 1950.

So in 2006 we didn't have this .011 + HR rate, yet we had the same spike in home HR production on contact.

Explain it.
