I think Prado being a plus defender at 3B is what the O's are thinking. They need to improve their infield defense, and they need to have Reynolds strictly DHing. Prado could be a Melvin Mora type for the O's, very versatile, can handle himself offensively and is a great defensive third basemen.
Matusz is not an option though, not sure why Leftwich included him. We're looking for positional players, either prospects or ML ready guys, preferably ones with power who can play the OF.
Seeing as Adam Jones is only under contract for two more years, I really, really, really, hope that is who Frank Wren is targeting, but I don't think Jurjjens and Prado alone is enough. If we could throw in a couple of prospects to sweeten the pot, you never know.
