If the Wildcat formation is added in Madden 10..

It'll probably be similar to the option offense in NCAA (option passes, etc). It won't take over a game, but I'm sure somebody will use it as their offense because it's the "cool" thing to do. I don't see it as too much of a problem.

It basically comes down to this: If it can be put in and the defense can handle it realistically, it'll be in. If they can't get the tuning right to handle it, they wont. I know they have the plays... they were in there before the game was released last year... but they couldn't get the defense to react to it properly.

lol, this is why I don't play NCAA online. I basically run the I-Veer, and people think it's cheese because I run the option about 75% of the time.

Why just the Dolphins? Yeah they used it the most but I think almost every team ran it a few times last year.

they would need to fix the AI to not be retarded in order to have the wildcat in. The way it is now a game of madden is basically who does a better job of picking plays that exploit the stupid CPU

No not just 1 or 2 plays in some playbooks. There would be no point of it being in their playbook. Way i see it their should be 5 basic wildcat plays in every playbook for teams that ran the wildcat.

Then there should be certain wildcat plays that only that team used. Like the touchdown pass from Ronnie Brown to Anthony Fasano vs. the Patriots. The touchdown pass from Mark Bradley to Tyler Thigpen vs. the Buccaneers. The touchdown pass from Chad Pennington to Cedrick Cobbs vs. the Texans.

I am going to create diagrams of all the dolphins wildcat formations then put the link to the post as a comment on the next EA Madden 2010 Blog. I will make a push to get this in Madden 2010.

In Madden 2010 i hope to use the Wildcat with the dolphins playbook using Darren McFadden taking the direct snaps and the fargas playing the same role that Ricky Williams played and then Michael Bush sorta being what Patrick Cobbs was.

Indy hasnt but i agree with you. The afc even had a wildcat snap in the pro bowl

I understand that a ton of teams used it last season but most teams did nothing more then line up a WR or RB at the QB position and run a draw. The only exception was the TD pass to Tyler Thigpen and Miami completely revolutionizing the formation.

They did use it in the pro bowl but again it was nothing more then an option play. If I remember correctly Thomas Jones went the wrong way if he hadn't it would've been the option.

I don't care if every damn team in the game has it. Just as long as my Fins get the 4 or 5 plays that they made popular.

Honestly , i dont want to see it in the game . I can only see glitches and Ai abuse from it. But if its in why make a rule that only 1 team can use it like he said??? Just put it all in the Miami pb , and if ppl wana use that book then cool

EDIT: And the Jet Sweep in NCAA is HORRIBLE, and that's similar to the "Steeler" play in the Wildcat series. So again, I can't see this taking the online game by storm at all.

wr direct (was hb direct but ppl screwed with it) , wr double pass , option in 08 , Hb pass in 08 all were glitchy or massive AI abusers.

Some of the "trick plays" and shit are fine , and even this year hb pass was fine unlike 08s cheese version. But i can see problems , if theres no problems id LOVE to see wildcat on 10.

Great point. Hell the HB pass or reverse almost gives the user a disadvantage. I've never in my life seen one of those plays work successfully unless the defense used run commit.

Hb pass on 08 was glitchy , was basicly the mini version of the wr dbl pass on 360. The hb could run for 3-5 yards every time with no fail.

If they say that the wildcat will be in Madden NFL 10 i am gonna create a blog about the top 5 wildcat teams. I am thinking the best teams will probably be the Chargers, Cowboys, Raiders, Jets, Vikings, Falcons, Panthers, and Saints. I hope they put it in.
