Why does it seem as if the media is acting as if Favre is the victim in this story? Last night ESPN was comparing this story to Favre losing his father, wife getting breast cancer, etc and how he usually steps it up in time of off the field issues. Why are they comparing Favre sending dick pictures to stories like his father dying or wife getting breast cancer?

Then I hear today they're reporting that Favre is playing with a "heavy heart" with "a lot on his mind" WTF...who's fault is that? You'd think Mr. Bill was behind all of this pro Favre reporting or something.

Charles Barkley agrees with Dave.

Barkley said the Favre allegations are a non-story. "This is just the media trying to make it a story because they've got juicy, gory details basically. But its not a story."

The alleged incidents happened two years ago, he noted.

"Listen, if Brett Favre sent that women pictures, it ain't up to me to decide whether that's right or wrong. But it's not a news story. He didn't break any laws. That's between him, the girl and his wife. He's got to answer that," said Barkley. "It would be totally different if she wanted to file sexual harassment charges against him. But she is not saying anything. The media's trying like hell to make it a story."

Favre hasn't addressed the allegations. Barkley thinks Favre has "handled himself perfectly."

He says: "You've got to understand something: if he says anything, the media's going to analyze it one way or the other. … It's just a really bad situation now with the press. No matter what you say they're going to put two talking heads on television and they're going to disagree."

By not saying anything, Favre doesn't give the media any ammunition to use against him, said Barkley. "If you don't say anything, they just get to talk about the accusations. They don't get to chop up your answers and argue about it."

If Sterger was outraged or 'violated' by Favre's behavior, wouldn't she want the proverbial book thrown at him?

theyve had quality investigators that would have had something on Favre by now if this were true. its taking too long, its bogus.

Favre has copped to the voicemails, which has him in just as much hot water at home as if he had done the nasty with Sterger. At this point, it's obvious that Sterger sent quite a few texts and possibly made a few calls to Favre and she doesn't want that to be made public so she's trying to string this along in hopes that Favre will offer $$ to her come out and say she won't talk to the league.

Favre is retiring in a few weeks so there isn't much the league could do to him regardless but he still has DeAnna to deal with in Hattiesburg.

He was during his drunken days running with Mark Chumura and Frankie "Bag O Donuts" Winters. Supposedly, he had quit chasing the tail after DeAnna's ultimatum about 10-12 years ago to quit drinking or she would take the kids and divorce him.
