Still, it sounded ridiculous to consider Eli for the HOF at that point right? I didn't see everyone getting all excited then and rightly so

Well, there is a huge difference in my opinion.

Whiles Manning spent the last 4 years of his career (up until this year) with a lower Quarterback rating than Mike Vick (someone who has always been criticized for not being a complete Quarterback) a lower Completion % than 90% of the league, and went the 2006 season throwing an Interception in 15/16 games.

Brees was coming 17 yards shy of the yards record, throwing 30 touchdowns a year, and having monster statistical seasons.

Then in the other half he won 2 MVP's, a Super Bowl MVP, Won a super Bowl. Got to two more and is 6th all time in passer rating. Guys have made the HOF with much shorter careers than Warners. Namely a guy like Gale Sayers.

Brees' body of work is better than Eli's by far. Drew brees is a great regular season QB and finally got it done in the post season. I dont think he even deserved his MVP in the superbowl.If it was possible I thought you should have split that shit four ways and given it to the Giants D-line.
