Wouldn't be surprised to see Green Bay show some interest in him as well. We're expected to allow Charles Woodson to walk, and could use another playmaker in the defensive backfield. That's probably just wishful thinking, but I'd love to see it lol.

Yea, no comparison. Revis shadows the best WR on the opposing teams and routinely shut shit down. Nnamdi was used completely diff, he never shadowed the best WR in Oak.

Naw we suck.

The past two years with Elway have been a lot better (Derek Wolfe, Von Miller, Orlando Franklin in the draft; Chris Harris and Tony Carter off the street). But other than Decker and Demaryius Thomas and I guess Zane Beadles the McDaniels drafts were and abortion.

The only guys left that Shanahan drafted of consequence are Dumervil, Clady and Woodyard (hopefully DJ Williams is sent packing).

Bailey is probably going to need to move to safety if not this season then next (if he plays that long). But we've got other needs too and can't just go throwing our top two picks at a veteran CB with a bum knee.

Revis wants a contract for around $100 million, just more than Mario Williams, and at least $50 million guarenteed as well. Also, sources says that the market is shaping up for the Jets to receive a first and third round pick, with a possible conditional seventh round pick, though they may ask for teams for two firsts.

Damn, two firsts is a bit much, especially when rumors have already put it at a first and second and that seemed like a lot. I can see a first and third, but the Jets can't go into a trade negotiation asking for the minimum that they'll take, so I can see where the two firsts come into play.

There is no way the Jets get 2x 1sts, andthey probably wont get a 1 & 2. There's gotta be only a handful of serious teams here - teams ready to break bank on DB, teams capable of salary now & retaining at a higher price later, and teams willing to make moves in order to take on his salary.

That said, I don't see him coming to Indy, but the Colts could readily take his salary on...I know we're ready to upgrade our secondary as well, and we could let Powers walk. Instead, I'm thinking the Jets end up keeping him here.

GM Thomas Dimitroff "downplayed" the Falcons' trade interest in Jets CB Darrelle Revis Wednesday.

According to ESPN's Ed Werder, Dimitroff is planning to focus on Atlanta's bevy of in-house free agents. That's all good and well, but "downplaying" is not the same as denying. One of the league's most aggressive, forward-thinking GMs, we don't doubt for a second that Dimitroff is at least exploring a run at the NFL's best corner.

The Tampa Bay Times considers the Bucs a "very realistic landing spot" for Darrelle Revis.

The Bucs have a major need at cornerback, over $30 million in cap space and five draft picks in the first four rounds. Of six writers in a recent NFL.com panel, three picked Tampa as Revis' most likely destination. The potential hang-up is that Revis would have to want to go there, as the Bucs surely won't make a move without securing a long-term commitment. There should be multiple teams interested in Revis who are closer to the Super Bowl than Tampa.

A source tells ESPN's Chris Mortensen that the 49ers' interest in Darrelle Revis is ".001 on a scale of 1-10."

We're hesitant to take this report at face value. Now that the Jets have essentially put their cards on the table, the leverage game is on. Even if the Niners do want to deal for Revis, saying so would be silly. They'll be trying to execute the trade while giving up as few assets as possible, as will a fistful of other teams. The Falcons, Bucs, Colts and Eagles all make some sense as eventual trade partners for the Jets. Reported Adam Schefter on Wednesday's SportsCenter, "The one thing that does appear certain ... is the Jets are shopping Darrelle Revis and they are determined to deal him at some point before the NFL draft."

Revis may say how he's shocked by how the Jets brass has reacted or the trade rumors but he's bought this onto himself with his ridiculous demands of money throughout the years. I love Revis but with so many needs on this team, the Jets can ill afford to tie up so much money on him and the CB corps when in all actual, it was pretty strong led by Cromartie and Wilson (Landry too). I just hope we can get at least a #1 and #2 from someone...

I think people forget how much draft picks are worth and how little CBs can be worth, especially if injuries are a concern. Asante Samuel didn't get traded for a first... or a second... or a third, fourth, fifth, or sixth, he got traded for a SEVENTH ROUND PICK! He had concerns, but he was only a few years removed from making huge money in a FA deal. I wouldn't be surprised if no one wanted to deal for Revis if a first was concerned because of his injury. I'm thinking some team with get him for a 2nd and 3rd/4th, but no more.

Again, its not that he isn't good or that he cannot return to his former level, but 1st round draft picks aren't handed out freely in the NFL.

Lot of talk out west about the Niners getting Revis and it seems like the majority of people don't want him because he is a headcase. He will just do the same thing in a few years and start bitching about money.

Not only that, but the Niners have proven to be really good at drafting and I think they can continue to build the franchise that way. Not saying Revis wouldn't help them immediately, but they're going to have to give up a lot for a player who seems like he cares more about himself than the team.

Profootballtalk.com reports the Jets have a "good" trade offer on the table for Darrelle Revis.

The offer is classified as "good" in terms of compensation for the Jets and the financial terms that would extend to Revis. However, that financial package has yet to be shared with Revis and his agents due to GM John Idzik stubborn unwillingness to grant Revis' camp permission to discuss a contract with other teams. The Falcons, Broncos, and 49ers have recently denied interest in Revis. A rumor of Eagles GM Howie Roseman "crunching numbers" and "putting together an offer" for Revis surfaced on Sunday.
