Someone speculated this on another forum but it kinda makes sense. Sayid is now Jacob and Locke is now the MIB.

but its not Locke...

There using alternate bodies. Thats how Smokey aka Man in Black got into Locke. So after Jacob died he did the same thing just using Sayid body.

For all we know, Sayid just went through their cleansing process and is fine.

One of the oddest things was seeing Desmond on the plane. So I guess in the alternate timeline, he never goes to the island either. So no Dharma?

they think Sayid's body has been taken over by the now deceased Jacob.

The person who has taken John's body is the man in black from the season 5 finale opening season

I don't think Jacob is now Sayid though, I think it's just that it took his body time to heal from the bath.

edit: Perhaps you were right though b/c Miles did have that awkward look on his face when he was beside Sayid's body. Perhaps some force did take control of it.

I wonder if Alpert will now age that Jacob is dead.

My roommate and I were speculating that since the island was underwater, that means Desmond wouldn't have crashed his boat on that race around the world which means he never would have been on the island and he finished the race. But as far as why he was in Sydney? No clue haha

Juliette survived for the same reason that Jack, Sawyer, and everyone else survived the nuke.

so back in the MM days, a poster there mentioned a book that had a similar storyline as LOST, but would not mention the ending of the book for fear of spoilers if LOST turned out the same way as the plot of the book did. Does anybody remember the name of the book or does that person post at VSN now?

I don't think the bomb ever goes off.........I think The Island knows that the bomb shouldn't go off and the flash happened again. I also think it might be Jacob, it seems like he's their guide and he wants them to accomplish something so he's guiding them to that goal. I think he intervenes at the most drastic times, such as when Locke fell out of the window, or Sayid was about to get run over, but Nadia got hit.

I now wondering, if that temple has been there the whole time, since they first episode when they crashed. Its almost like the wall is so high, you just can't see the temple. Lot of my friends are wondering if those people are from the Black Rock.

I think it was interesting that The Man in the Black mentioned Richard looked different w/o chains. Not sure if he meant literally or theoretically, that he killed Jacob and is not under his command anymore.

Also, The Man in Black is Locke and The Smoke Monster, as I assumed at the end of last season.

That fact bugs you but not that the other people did survive?

Obviously it did not go off as a big explosion, but it moved them back into 2007. While Jack figured it would send them back to 2004 before the island (it did in the alternate timeline), their conscious is now in 2007 instead of 1977.
