I don't think there's any real truth to this idea. If it actually happened I think it'd be a huge mistake.
Rodgers has great, great chemistry with all of his receivers. A trade at this point in the season would be a problem. I don't know all of the intricacies of the offense in Denver, but it's pretty complicated in Green Bay from what I understand. Lot of options, lot of different routes, ton of different formations. Likely a big difference in language as well. A completely unfamiliar receiver just walking in a week before the season would be at a severe disadvantage and would limit the offense as a whole. He can make up for some with his physical talent, but who knows how fast he'd pick up the offense.
Plus, Driver is in impeccable shape and likely not going to retire for a few more years barring significant injury. We only really have two TEs right now with Lee and Finley. Finley could take over as the starter soon, but there's NO one behind him. The only other guy behind Finley that could make the team is a LB/TE special teams guy, and truly he might not make the team. He's basically an emergency TE.
