thanks brink...i was just looking to get some idea of any early bugs, graphics, overall gameplay impressions and some general thoughts on value...but i was able to get a copy for pc and played around with it for a short time. plus i read alot of impressions on some other sites...but i appreciate you offering.
my initial thoughts are that the game looks stunning. i am always surprised when i am able to see a game set the bar higher than something else i thought looked stunning, and this one does it. im on ultra settings and even though im only getting 40 fps, i dont have any stutters or graphical glitches at all. the detail in the opening scenes where the rain is falling and water streams across the ground are just mindblowing.
sadly, that was the only thing about this game that impressed me. the game is so un-original its disgusting. this might as well be a sequel of COD and BF. why is everyone still tryng to make the next COD4? the opening action sequence followed by the opening flash of credits, followed by the boot camp tutorial...they even steal the timed training course. i ran into some dumb glitches where every obstacle told me to lean left.
Once you get past that you are now playing your cookie cutter FPS with your 4 man squad of un-interesting pointless dialog driven team following linear paths full of your typical big explosions and loud booms. The controls are mapped in typical COD/BF fashion and work as well as should be expected. I didnt play much because i was disgusted by this copy cat of a game that so many people spent $60 on.
If you like COD or BF and want to play a game that is completely identical to those games, then spend your $60....I however suggest saving your $60 and playing BF3 instead.
