This sounds far worse than any Ohio State or USC penalty. Ohio State had around 8 players in one sport. USC had 2 players in 2 sports. Miami had over 70 players in 2 sports with clear connections to coaches.
Also, the statute of limitations only counts if someone's connections are only involved past the four years. In this case, a person has a nearly 9 year involvement so any investigation can include the full scope of his involvement (although the punishments would be slightly lessened because of the time lapsed).
I wouldn't say death penalty, but definitely worse than what USC has gotten and what OSU might get.
