Just put the .jar file in your C:\Users\{YOUR USER NAME}\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin or %appdata%/.minecraft/bin folder and overwrite the old one.

EDIT: The default lighting looks much better. Torches and lava flicker, for instance. I did notice that my chests weren't appearing properly.

I tried to create a new world, and ended up with Waterworld. Hardly any land to be found.

Can't play online though , anyone still playing this? I just spent maybe 5 hours carving out the inside of a mountain - until one of those "creepers" (the exploding mf'ers) blew half the fucking mountain away.

I down loaded this game on 360 because my daughter was bugging me for it. I typically don't play games like this but she wanted me to play it with her so I gave it ago. Basically I'm wondering if any of you guys know any good detoxes or support groups because I'm addicted as fuck to this stupid game, its worse than skyrim addiction. Every supposed hour of game play turns into a 3-5 hour session, its crazy:cj2k:

Can someone please explain the premise/point of the game so I don't sound like an uninformed jackass when I say I've never played it, and likely never will. Chances are many things have changed since I first heard about the game in it's alpha build.

I'm sure they haven't. No real point at all in this game. Collect items to build items and then use those to create.

Also you can fight zombies and stuff.

So there isn't much closure to the game? Just keep building and doing new things? I love seeing screenshots of what people did, but I just don't have the patience to sit through it myself. That's why they make different games I guess.

It's another game where you get as much as you put into it.

The building system is great once you get the hang of it; even if you go into it blind and just try different combinations.

Hell, just figuring out how to make stone bricks so the interior of a house looks better is a fun time-waster.

And if you want adventure, the game is populated with spiders, skeletons and all matters of beast that wish to kill you when the sun goes down... very exciting stuff when you're trying to juggle building tools and gather food.
