The problem with timing is that it takes the players ratings into account only. Meaning, even if you have perfect timing, your player may not do shit with the pitch if he has low ratings.

I prefer analog or timing. I have gone back and forth. At times, I feel like the analog is too sensitive which alters your ability to make solid contact. Zone may be the way to go for me this year.

There is nothing worse than using timing, being in a 2-0 or a 3-1 count, see that fastball right down the middle of the plate, time it perfectly, than miss because the circle was in the hight outside corner!

Started using zone for the first time this year, I'm sticking with it too..

i plan on using 30 team control like past years. But it seemed like alot more lineups got altered from ST to regular season. I just dont know enough about other teams to know how the lineups should be set. But i know Jason Werth shouldnt be a #2 and Rollins a #7

I like timing frankly. Just because you time a pitch correctly doesn't mean it should be hit. Players swing and miss all the time IRL. The devs have said timing is the truest way to use the engine so that's what I go with.


Just because I time something correctly doesn't mean I will make flush contact or any contact at all.

Usually a couple days after the initial release.

I'd say Thursday as a guess.

i use zone. i get the same results because i am not always accurate with where i put the PCI circle. And sometimes when i do hit it perfectly its still a miss. Like you said, just because you time it perfectly doesnt mean its a hit

i like zone simply because i like moving the left stick.

Be on the look out for posts from, about, or referencing him.

From nothing but reading about them at OS. I'd say they are C+ to solid B.

Some of the mistakes are just terrible. Wrong numbers. Guys absolutely sucking that shouldn't. Potentials being off(Javier Baez being a B not an A when he's universally seen as a stud 'spect) etc. Just seems liek some of these guys sign up to edit them with no real clue about the team.

Little stuff anyone should be able to get right(like numbers being right or wrong) seems off at times.

im glad these dont have rating edits. numbers should be correct though. I was throwing a fit because Fausto Carmona still had the name Fausto Carmona instead of Roberto Hernandez. Then i realized they cant change players names. They would have had to make a new player

I actually didn't know the devs had said that. I may actually go back to it then. I want a realistic experience, but I also want the variable of a lower-rayed player excelling every now and then.

Pretty sure Ramone mentioned it last year over at OS. The CPU uses the timing mechanism.

The guys I work with are on vacation through the rest of the week which means non-stop RTTS on Vita.

Just got traded from the Red Sox to the Dodgers. Still in AA. Still hitting .168 and it is embarrassing. Cannot seem to get anything to drop in the outfield. Everything is caught.

They should make it available in the online leagues then if that's the case. It's the only eson I switched to zone.
