MLB 12: The Show

I currently use ZONE HITTING, but am intrigued by what I have read about those using TIMED HITTING. But when I tried to change I notice I have seen the change offline but not online. Curious.

Any idea why I haven't been able to use TIMED HITTING online? I know I can use ZONED and ANALOG online.

replay vault...you can position the camera however you want and save the pics right to the ps3, then upload them to photobucket or whatever from a flash drive

firsttimer what exactly is the basis for the griffey roster? i dont recognize any of those players name which i assume is sort of the point. i never played griffey bb so im a bit confused

*In the YT video you can see Octane McBain, Turbo Taines, Cat Gomez, Chief Caboose, Sandy Falcon, Sleek McClain, Muscles McFee, Bull Higgins etc. All those guys listed are in my rosters plus obviously many more but those are names that jump out from the first few minutes of the video.

However, one of the fun and largely unknown parts of this game is identifying other MLB players based on the phony and sometimes pun-laden names given to them by developers. For example, the prolific and temperamental Albert Belle is transformed into "Frank Liberty" (Liberty Bell?), Frank Thomas who is nicknamed the Big Hurt is named "Big Magoo", Tino Martinez is Viper Ramirez, athletically talented and muscular slugger Barry Bonds is named a similarly alliterate "Muscles McFee", Cal Ripken, Jr. is named "Lou Junior", and hard throwing then-Mariners ace Randy Johnson is called "Bolt Lightning" and the twirling Japanese import Hideo Nomo, nicknamed the Tornado, is aptly changed to "Typhoon Kuroi."

I took the "marquee" names from each team(there were a lot) and created those players. They won't really resemble the MLB players they were named for in KGJRWR but that wasn't my goal. I just wanted the names.

Also Maynard I hid some "easter egg" players in there from movies and other games. Henter, a pitcher, is on Miami. Brad Barnes of MVP 2005 fame is on Detroit. Benny The Jet is on LA. Ken Griffey himself was replaced with a player dedicated to Paste of RBI baseball fame. etc etc.
 
Once the Opening Day rosters drop tonight (set to be around 9 PM EST last I heard) I plan on running a Franchise Report again. This year I think I'm gonna actually roll with my Yankees since I literally haven't played with them the last 2 years. Pinstripe Mode...ENGAGE!
 
Got traded to the Nats for Mike Morse. Hopefully I can get onto the 40-man and get that call-up. I think that's probably going to have to wait for next season though.

That's why the fictional rosters rock.

No chance to go OCD because every player is fake so you have no preconceived notions of who should really be doing what.

Each player just is what he is and who he is in universe.
