I see terrible base running and terrible defense. Am I missing something?

Went to my first baseball game, was at the Nats game. Good Lord was it hot. I was pretty close to the homerun that was scored in the 6th I believe. Ball was like ten yards away.

On both pitches that allowed the game-tying homerun and the game-winning hit, Edward Mujica shook off Yadier Molina and threw a change-up instead of a fastball. Lesson learned.

That inning was horribly managed by Matheny, regardless. Would have liked to see Waino stick it out after the lead-off blooper by Pujols, or Randy Choate to come in to face Hamilton. The "no doubles" defense never works either.

Definitely agree with leaving Wainwright in and warner mentioned the no doubles D in the cb, agree with bringing Mujica in he's gotta get that save though.

Got invited to the Phils/Braves game Sunday. I have Minor and Medlen in my keeper league both acquired by trade, fortunately get to see Medlen pitch. Stoked.

Never ever never ever ever works.

People harp on sac bunting, but at least that works a decent percentage of the time. "No Doubles" is the worst strategy in baseball. I'm willing to bet it loses more games than it preserves.

It only looks crazy since Puig stands so far from the plate. If you've ever watched Romo pitch, that's basically always how Posey or backup-catcher-du-jour sets up for Romo's slider.

Wow Yasmani Grandal has been really unlucky this year. His line drive % is up over 7% from last year, but his BABIP is down 76 points.
