Wow good god some people need to stop posting in this thread.

Lack of knowledge on a subject should be enough not to post but when I see people throwing out bands like U2, Queen and even Tool as over rated I just shake my head.

WTF are some of you smoking? Do you even understand what over rated means?

The thing is the people in here listen to that genre and can make an valid opinion.

For example person A has listened to rock for years so if he wants to say a certain rock band sucks or have no talent then his opinion isn't biased.

However if some guy who just started listening to rap yesterday wants to say a certain rapper sucks then that's a completely different thing.

Miley is a pop star, ask around the country and she's known everywhere. From the richest of places to the poorest of places she's known, then try asking the same people about Tool.......

The fact that you could even question me about not knowing who Tool was is proof enough, I bet you wouldn't question anyones knowledge on the existince of Miley.

I couldn't argue with you that Miley Cyrus is better due to the simple fact that it's once again just an opinion. But when you say she's not bigger than Tool that's pushing it...

Miley's more well known because she's much more marketable. She's on lunchboxes, TV, movies, etc. etc. She appeals to kids and people in general a little more than an anti-conformist group based on alot of drugs and what's wrong with society. However...look at it in this perspective, even though miley is EVERYWHERE...Tool, without putting out commercials, and movies, and radio hits, or even a fucking concert DVD, while taking 5 year breaks still sells more albums...interesting huh?

I'm not saying anything about her or Tools talent lvl, just stating that she's bigger than Tool and while she may have road her dad's coatails to get in she's sure as hell is gonna be bigger than he ever could've dreamed of. Do you know how much money this girl is on pace to have?

I like Peter Gabriel too, but the guy releases a new album every eight years or so ... and every song is 7 to 10 minutes long.
U2 may be overrated, but they consistently release catchy shit and have sold a billion albums.
