My Vick Rules

So last night, I am playing an offline franchise pre-season game vs the Pats. Second half Vick comes in. I am used to McNabb rollin out, at a decent speed when I press R2. So I do the same play with Vick, press R2 and HOLY SHIT!! It was like Madden 04 all over again, I felt like I just got shot up with some crack!!

Vick is so frikkin fast, its pathetic watchin the defense try to play him. After the first 2 runs, big runs BTW, the Pats D started playing QB contain or QB Spy. So that left another receiver open. Just amazing, so I have decided to self impose the following rules.


2 Rules:

1) I won't put Vick in the game if I play anyone on the VSN Tracker or anyone else I know online.

2) If its a tracker game, Vick goes in only if McNabb gets hurt. No way I am puttin in Kolb and his noodle arm. McNabb goes back in, when available.

i never had a problem slowing down vick or young(notice i said slow down, not stop). 3-4 defense and spy with the lb or manually control the lb. you sacrifice pass rush but most people have one read and if it isnt open they want to run

sounds like the most sim version of Vick and Vince ive ever heard as they would be playing like the real life qbs do.

Yea that applies when a the CPU is controllin the QB.......I tend to pick out 3 targets when I select a play, and progress through em.

I played StuDawg with the Eagles and used Vick for one whole series and sparingly in between.. (designed bootlegs and Wildcat plays)..

He's fast but so freakin inaccurate..

I said this in your other thread. First 8 years of Andy Reid's regime, you could count on one hand how many times he ran shotgun per season. They only increased the amount of plays from next to nothing to over 10% or so in the last 2 years. Also if you are basing your claim off of a pre season game agains the Pats, where they did use Shotgun liberally its quite obvious that you chose not to remember the fact, that whatever Reid calls in the off-season is never ever seen during the season.

Now second half of last year was a huge surprise in the fact that he ran the ball more, and did increase the shotgun, we will see how it goes here. But don't claim to be running the Eagles as realistically as possible when you call shotgun plays a majority of the time. Singleback is the primary formation Reid loves.
