These last 2 4th Quarter performances by Durant in the finals have been something special. Something you would see from Jordan back in the day. THe only difference being, Jordan would of gotten that call. I'm all for the refs letting the players decide the game, but that was too obvious not to call.

LeBron has to take more than 3 shots in the 4th. A player like him should take over the last quarter and make sure they keep themselves within an arm's distance in that situation. But he hit his free throws and made a huge shot with the shot clock running down in the final moments, so he deserves props for that.

This series is going 7. I give OKC the edge, when Durant and Westbrook turn it on MIami doesn't have an answer and for some reason are unable to match them shot for shot.

Um okay, why then would they not have fouled Durant out a few minutes before? Seems like that would've been a better way to rig the game then to wait until the last 15 seconds of the game but what do I know about the giant conspiracy theory that casual NBA fans seem to be experts on.

Oh wait, it's an NBA thread so umm... LeBron doesn't have as many rings as Jordan, unclutch, etc, etc.

Now for an actual NBA thought.

• Good game for both ends, Thunder comeback was nice but they have to learn how to come out of the gates quicker. They've had numerous games over the past few weeks where they go down early and have to claw back the entire game. You can only do that for so long.
• Kudos to Spo for finally realizing that Bosh is pretty good and should probably play. That was silly from the beginning.
• Heat controlled the paint and thus controlled the game. Even with Battier's bailout threes.
• Wade continue to not get back on defense which allows the Thunder fast break to work as well as it does. I'm guessing that's just the way he's going to play now.
• Westbrook looked okay at the end of the game but he's a big reason they went down early, he needs to control his shots better. Too inefficient, especially given his high number of 15-18 footers.

Reverse this situation. Durant hits LeBron and they call the foul, everyone would be whining about "LET THE PLAYERS PLAY". The NBA can't win sometimes with its casual watchers, no matter what they do.

The game of basketball is a tough game to officiate and with that some calls will be made and others won't. IMO considering the circumstances and constant scrutiny for the most part NBA refs do a good job.

I would think getting hacked across your arm would inhibit your shot making ability.

Granted it's his left arm but I think we all know the game well enough to realize that getting hacked that badly on your off arm when you're elevating could throw off your timing/balance/rhythm and be pretty distracting

There was a GREAT interview with an NBA official on Mike and Mike this morning. He said the baseline official was out of position (and explained where he was supposed to be) and that he wouldn't have been able to see that foul from where he was.

But it's LeBron and the Heat. So they'd be complaining about a conspiracy and how in the 90s they use to let players play through things and how Jordan use to play through fouls en route to his 6 championships. I understand your point but it's also impossible these days to have a rational thought about the NBA especially when it pertains to LeBron.

I disagree, I dont see how people are clueless when it was quite clear a superstar got fouled on a potentially series changing call regardless of what happened 2 minutes earlier.

Refs blew tonight, but thats not why OKC lost. They lost because they treated the 1st like pre game warmups. I feel like OKC played like shit a bunch too, and still only lost by 4.

Good game, curious to see what happens in Miami.

That might work with Rondo to an extent because Rondo isn't physically imposing enough to overpower Wade off the dribble but if you "play off" Westbrook and allow him room to operate and get a head of steam he's both fast enough, athletic enough, and strong enough to get by and through Wade. Wade's only hope is that Westbrook goes full on retard and gets out of attack mode on the offensive end and settles for jumpers a lot. That's not really incumbent on Wade's defense though, it's more based on Westbrook not losing his senses.

The point of my post was that Wade needs to make Westbrook a jump shooter and a decision maker. Westbrook has proven he is NOT a true point guard and certainly not a great jump shooter in these 2 games. Don't groan just to groan ............

I knew that Miami somehow would manage to blow a 7 point lead with a minute left, and they were a bad call away from doing just that.

Once again Miami failed to even get a decent shot off in crunch time with the game on the line.

Coach Spoelstra is a huge impediment to this team.
