They picked up Bargs in free agency apparently. They also resigned Rasho who I traded to them a season ago in that Wilcox deal. He was expiring, but they went and resigned him. no idea. haha.

Wow at Quinn. Really stepping it up with the loss of JC.

Quinn is a solid point guard. The funny thing is with Marbury covering him in the 1st, he knocked down all 3 of his 3 pointers in a matter of a couple minutes. Kinda fits the bill, Marbury playing lackluster defense. lol. But yeah, Quinn is a good outside shooter and surprisingly a decent finisher inside.

Randolph is pretty good. I'm still learning how to use him though. His FG% is kind of low but I'm kinda forcing it with him right now in an effort to find out how to use him in game. But yeah, very athletic and a solid rebounder/defender.

Kenyon Martin Tradeable After All?

In the last 24 hours, rumors have swirled around a possible trade to Indiana involving Kenyon Martin. The Nuggets recently signed Drew Gooden to a contract and Martin has since gotten the short end of the stick, seeing a steep decrease in playing time since Gooden's arrival to Denver.

"I don't mind coming off the bench, that's not the point," explained Martin to reporters. "I just think it's kind of flawed to lose the starting role to someone who just joined the team."

Fans are intrigued due to the fact it has been widely assumed Martin's contract was virtually untradable. But suddenly, because of rookie forward Tyler Hansbrough's woes defensively and an altercation with center Chris Kaman last week, a rumor about Martin coming to the Pacers surfaced and got folks talking.

Martin is one of the five best on the ball defenders in the post in the Association. Sure, Martin has his faults and is unquestionably overpaid, but what he brings on the defensive end can't be ignored.

From the Pacers perspective, swinging a deal for Kenyon doesn't seem to make a ton of sense though. There's a reason you've heard Martin's contract is virtually untradable over the course of the last couple of offseaons, and that's because it's darned near true. The move would be a huge financial investment by the Pacers for a player with a history of injury and headaches in the locker room. And would Martin really be the right guy for a team that has a lot of young players like Brandon Rush and Anthony Randolph?

The only way Martin's wishes for more playing time could be granted in Indiana, is that if he is in fact willing to be a role player for the Pacers, and if he is willing to opt out of his player contract when the 2010 offseason comes around. The Pacers are currently sitting on 7 million dollars of cap space and with Marquis Daniels' contract also expiring, the Pacers should have anywhere from 14 to 15 million dollars to play with this offseason.

If there's one thing anyone who follows the NBA should know by now, it's that one should never say never about any trade possibility provided the deal works financially. That said, the chances Martin is playing anywhere other than Denver this season still remain extremely low at this point, but you never know.​
