Rush To Return From Shoulder Injury In Tonight's Matchup

Indiana Pacers Guard Brandon Rush, who suffered a separated shoulder injury after diving for a loose ball roughly 2 weeks ago, went through contact 4-on-4 drills and appeared ready to return.

"It's a little bit sore," Rush said. "But I'm ready to get back out there. Danny's back, I'm ready to come back. All we need is the old guy's (Sheed) back to stop hurting and we can get going."

"Getting Brandon back is a huge addition," added Pacers Coach Jim O' Brien. "He's really coming into his own as an NBA player and has been itching to get back on the court."

The Pacers fly to New York to face the 14-33 Knicks at the Madison Square Garden tonight, hoping to win their second straight.​

To be honest, I'm very much content with the #3 seed i'm currently in considering how shaky of a season it's been as far as injuries go. I would've expected to maybe fall to 5-6 in the standings but some of these other guys have really slowed down.

He just got hot. I don't know what it is about my guys coming back from injury and playing awesome. Good trainer I guess? rofl.

And yeah, I've never scored that much in regulation before haha. It was just running up and down the court all game. It seemed like the Knicks were actually playing D'antoni's style. Not many half court sets. Just running, running and more running. And with their defense being as bad as it is, I was able to go off.

Hmm, what will Sheed do? I dunno. Considering how well Randolph fits into my system when giving the starting nod, my options are weighing heavily against bringing Sheed back next year. Decisions, decisions.

Not on any particular play. I went to start another game and the message popped up saying that he was suffering from back spasm's. He could play if I really wanted him to, but IRL guys would sit if the pain was too much to bare, so I'm doing so. Plus I like to give my bench guys opportunities to start. Don't worry. I agree bigtime. Minor injuries may be minor but more often than not, a player will sit out a game or two to prevent further injury. Of course there are always exceptions.

The same reason I chose Tyler Hansbrough as a black guy. I edit the prospects so that no computer generated rookies will be selected before the "real" prospects. Plus I really don't have the time or patience to sit and look for guys that look like their real life counterparts.
