Washington Wizards all-star forward Caron Butler went down with a sore wrist in Thursday's game against the Boston Celtics.

Butler left the game in the end of the third quarter, after scoring 18 points and dishing out 10 assists. Doctors examined Butler, and said that he shouldn't have to miss any games.

"Caron only sustained a sore wrist," said the Wizards' team doctor. "He won't need to miss any games, but he probably won't see the floor as much as he's used to. Caron was very lucky that this wasn't a sprain or even a fracture."

Washington's next game will be against the 11-11 Philadelphia 76ers in Philadelphia. It is unknown whether Caron Butler will be in the starting lineup or not.​
