It seems clear from all the rumors that Auburn has real interest in Mark Stoops to replace Ted Roof as defensive coordinator. I have no idea of Stoops' interest. Auburn fans are notorious for being arrogant while maintaining an inferiority complex. I don't think Stoops would take the job. Sure, Auburn could pay Stoops a lot more money than FSU, but Stoops has a special defense coming back and I'd guess that he jumps after the 2012 season to a head coaching position. It's not completely out of the realm of possibility, but right now I'd say its unlikely. And it's far from the lock that some Auburn sources are reporting at this point.

Doubt it. Just as we are starting to pick up momentum on the recruiting trail now that kids know he is off the hot seat. I don't think KM would have committed if he thought there was even a chance that Richt wouldn't be there next season, especially since Dabo and Clemson made a strong 11th hour push for him.

Heard it too.....Texas A&M is willing to give $$$ if they think they have a shot at him. Decision is supposed to be made today but not announced till later. Sumlin was at the UH function announcing Big East move and the University taking plans for new on campus stadium and breaking ground within 10 months (hopefully)....so most likely isn't going to be Sumlin.
 
USF offered a scholarship to WR Rodney Adams out of Lakewood HS on Wednesday. Adams had 25 catches for 819 yards and 10 touchdowns this past season.

Todd Fitch and Skip Holtz are really trying to stockpile receivers. We already have a lot of great, young talent on the roster in Deonte Welch, Terrence Mitchell and Andre Davis. Add in the commit from D'Vario Montgomery and a possible signing of Adams, and the Bulls have a hell of a receiving corps for the next few years.

Richt declined offer (Bulldogs might give raise), so Sumlin looks to be the guy afterall but they are giving him a large budget to find assistant coaches. He won't be bringing anyone from the UH staff with him.

Jimbo Fisher said Wednesday he does not believe the Seminoles will lose any underclassmen to the NFL.

That means Fisher believes that defensive end Brandon Jenkins, a pre-season All-American, will return for his senior season. Jenkins was a second team All-ACC pick this season after earning first team honors a year ago. His numbers have declined this season, but the theory is the offenses have been avoiding him and he is partly responsible for the emergence of the other defensive end, Bjoern Werner.

Jenkins led the Seminoles with seven sacks and 11 tackles for loss, numbers that placed him eighth and tied for 11th in the ACC. A year ago he had 13.5 sacks and 21.5 tackles for loss.

Jenkins was part of a defense that is second nationally in rush defense, fourth in scoring defense and sixth in total defense. Yet, Fisher was not as impressed as one might expect.

So apparently the guy that gave George LOLDohrrman the quote about Tressel rigging the raffles back in the 80s was disgruntled former OSU recruiting coordinator Bill Conley.

Conley left the program in 2004 because he and JT were at odds.
 
USF has lost it's 3rd commitment, from its 2012 class, in the last month. CB DJ White rescinded his commitment a few days ago. S Rayshawn Jenkins reneged and verballed to Miami and QB Tyler Cameron did the same with a verbal to Wake Forest.

Each player said the 5-7 season had nothing to do with their decision, but, I think that is bullshit. This is what a losing season and no bowl game does.

FSU can't afford that. Trying to figure out the story here. Not saying this is true or untrue.

But damn, that's a lot of money. Way more than FSU is paying Stoops.

If he wants to quickly be a HC, he stays.
If he doesn't get along with Jimbo, he goes.
If he wants to coach one of the most talented defenses in the country, he stays.
If he wants to almost double his salary and/or get SEC experience, he goes.

Again, small radio station reports are inherently sketchy.

4:45 Update: No other source has come close to confirming this. And believe me, we've tried. This seems like just some feeling out by Mark to gauge his market value. Could it happen? Sure. But it would be surprising
