I just don't get it, they aren't just getting lucky and edging teams, they are hitting them dead in the mouth. Sure they can rest starters and don't need to wear down their depth through a grueling conference slate, but they are still a legit team as proven over and over again in non-conf. match ups.

I concur. They were fucking dominating VT until the middle of the second quarter, and they basically shut-down VT's run game. I love how on ESPN Radio out here they were talking about "Boise's got a great offense, but they don't have the athletes on defense."

Pfft. They were killing VT for the longest. Though it did get really, really good in the second half.

Unforgeable you're correct even though they could beat a lot of BCS teams.
 
People are really overblowing the "Teams are afraid to play Boise" storyline. It's not anywhere near as true as you think. Hell, look at this:

Boise dominated VT last night in the trenches, but they have some glaring flaws in their back 7 that were really exposed by an average VT receiving core last night. Their lack of quality depth compared to some of the big boys was apparent too, and they were pretty winded defensively and VT still didn't take advantage of it. But regardless, they went to Fedex Field, basically a home game for VT, and blew 'em out of the water 17-0 early, dominated the LOS more than in any other top matchup I've seen in a while, and pulled out a come from behind win over a top 10 team.

C'mon fellas, it's time to give credit where credit is due.

There's no way they jump an undefeated SEC, Big 12, or OSU though... just my opinion.
 
I give a shit about Boise until their football team leaves the WAC conference and they start scheduling/are scheduled against Top 25 talent on a consistent basis.

Credit them for their first win of the season, preventing V.Tech from reaching the BCS Title game and that's it.
 
I got to meet Doc Holliday at a coaches clinic and he said all he wanted to do was beat West Va. I didn't think he had a chance, but he came damn close.

Marshall's defense failed when it mattered most... after which, I feel for their kicker after he edged it just enough to not get the tying FG in overtime.

That being said, WV's go a lot of work to do if they want to stay in the chase for a bowl game.
 
Va. Tech is done as far as the BCS goes IMO...

Getting beat by the best WAC team is one thing but getting beat by a lesser division opponent?
