^^^ Dolan has too much invested in Carmelo, Amar'e & Chandler to do that. Knicks will try to win with this group - how they'll get past Miami in the next few years, I don't know. Wade & James are better than Anthony & Stoudemire(who we all agree isn't what he used to be).

Having Chandler,Melo, and Amar'e locked up for the next few years only leaves the team to spend about 3 million in FA or draft picks.

As of right now we have a solid 4 IMO Chandler, Amar'e, Melo, Shump. Woodson does'nt like Lin and knew it was a 1 time fad we might have to try our luck on trading up in the draft for a player who can handle the ball correctly.

JR is a knucklehead, but he made some big plays down the stretch, especially in the Milwaukee game. But I'm sure he'll get more loot elsewhere.

Apparently, there's a possibility the Knicks could keep Lin and still be able to use their midlevel exception. The players union is fighting it in court however, arguing certain players (like Lin, Novak, Billups, etc.) retain their bird rights.

Why would Golden State want him? They're better off spending the cash on a forward.

JR Smith was pulled over for an unknown reason in Miami when Police found out he had a bench warrant for an invalid drivers license. He was arrested.

Arbitrator granted Lin his early Bird rights. This means the Knicks will have some money to overpay someone else.

Actually, Carmelo Anthony is the one who needs to step up his game. He's not on Lebron's level, but he has to become more of a well-rounded player like Lebron did - share the ball, rebound, play defense every possession, be a real leader and get in better shape.

The NBA appealed the decision that granted Lin and Novak early bird rights and the case may not be settled for months. If they don't work it out within the next week, the Knicks could be fucked in terms of free agency.
