QB Brady Quinn

Minnesota Vikings Trade:

RB Chester Taylor.

In my dynasty the Vikings don't have Brett Favre, or Tavaris Jackson (Out For Season). On the other side of the ball I've found success with using Jerome Harrison in the back field rather than power back Jamal Lewis.

In a league that's developing into a duel back league, I dump Brady Quinn who hasn't panned out, and get my second back. As Jamal Lewis could retire, or his contract expires in 2011 and I don't plan on resigning him.

Does this seem realistic?: Quinten Culberson and third round draft pick to Browns for Mohamed Massaqoui og Kamerion Wimbley after season one. Massaqoui played a few matches, but were terrible for the Browns, Wimbley didn't play alot, and Culberson had a good season.
I'm Rams. The reason Culberson is leaving is since I'm as previously mentioned I'm changing to 3-4 in defence. And in real life Wimbley is a 3-4 kind of OLB, unlike Culberson.
One last thing. What would be a realistic thing to give for Victor Abiamiri (Eagles third choice at LE)? Maybe a fourt round draft pick?

So now you have three capable backs? Seems a bit useless.

Like I said, it's becoming a duel rushing league. Two speed guys on the field (Taylor/Harrison) in my opinion would be more productive then one speed back, one power back. (Taylor-Harrison/Lewis) I have no intention of resigning Lewis after his contract is up. This would also free me to move Lewis, prior to his contract expiring.

This kinda makes sense although I cant remember a trade like in the NFL...fills a need for both clubs...I'm guessing Quinn is a salary dump as well. Taylor would love the chance to start,

It's an interesting situation. I started the franchise before the week 1 update. So no Favre for the Vikings. I would likely have to include a mid round pick as well to persuade the Vikings to accept the deal. Taylor-Quinn straight up won't work.

Just throwing this out there, need value numbers (pick wise) for Jamal Lewis and Derek Anderson. Anderson remained on the team despite throwing nearly 3 times as many picks as touchdowns. Late in the season I tried using Brett Ratliff to no avail. (Remember, I traded Quinn.) In the playoffs it seemed like Tim Rattay finally found his niche and delivered outstanding performances on my way to a conference championship exit.

I resigned Tim Rattay in the off-season, picked up Troy Smith from Free-Agency and added Colt McCoy from the draft as a roster filler. This frees me up to move Derek Anderson.

Also attempting to move Jamal Lewis as Jerome Harrison had a break out year. (Jon Davis/Noah Herron remain on the depth chart) also picked up CJ Spiller in the draft as another filler/development project. Jamal Lewis enters his contract year as well. Let me know what you think of the value of these two players?

In my 'chise Peyton Manning is injured, and will be out the whole season. Bulger has played horrible for me in the preseason, and is now my second choise at QB. Would it be realistic to change Bulgers contact to only one year left, then trade him to the Colts for they're third or fourth round draft pick?

Colts Trade:

Major Wright FS (72)

The reason I would do this trade is so Major Wright isn't locked up in Indy for his 4 year contract behind Antonie Bethea and Bob Sanders, both have 6 year contracts.

They get a very capable back up in Eugene Wilson for 2 years and is experienced, also an upgrade over Wright if need be to play this season.

The one major part I think that puts this trade in advantage of Indy is that I give them Glover Quin Jr. He's 23, got B potential, and is a 71 overall currently. He would also immediately come in and be the #3 CB for them, as they are lacking depth at that position.

Is there any reason these teams need to trade to meet their needs or would free agents satisfy their needs. you almost never see NFL teams trade backups....This seems fair, but I think with cap considerations, teams tend to avoid trades unless they are getting draft choice, dumping salaries etc.

FA couldn't get the Colts a better safety, and they could get a slow, old CB with no potential, but I'm pretty sure the Colts would much rather have a young, speedy, high potential guy that can already come in and start playing almost half of the downs on defense as the #3 CB.

Ok....if Quinn is so good and young, why would the Texans trade him? Aren't they still rebuilding themselves? Or if you think they are in a position to win now and WRight fills an immediate need...........then it sounds pretty realistic to me....btw is this the offseason or midseason? For madden it doesn't matter but in real life you've got a guy who would have to learn a new system...that usually takes several weeks.

On my team, he is 5th string CB behind 3 other guys with B potential and 1 guy with C. Also I have another CB that is 67 overall with B potential also and is 1 year younger.

I'm in season 2 of my franchise, this is a team that made the playoffs last year and just keep improving, so it's more winning now and setting up the future at the same time, and Wright does that for me. Sure he's a little downgrade on Wilson, but he has speed, and I need speed. Plus it's not like he's getting any time since as I mentioned both safety's are locked up for 5 years. Eugene can step in and be a great backup for both positions plus play CB if need be, but they are getting Quinn Jr. as a plus in the deal, which is really helping them.

I really think this is a good trade, on both parts.

Why would you trade for Frye? He's a 45 i think. Your better off just dipping into free agency. But if you must trade for Frye i wouldn't give up anymore than a 7th round pick.

Draft picks for Jones is probably the best way to go. Maybe a 2nd round being the highest. Stuckey maybe a low draft pick or a player of equal value/rating

I don't think that's a real scenario under any circumstance.
