Depends on the situation.

If we're talking about college, black quarterbacks are sufficient, because they can use their athletism to bail them out of their lack of ability to process information quickly enough to make the right read/throw. In the NFL, you really have to be able to process that information, because your athletism will only get you so far at the position. The black quarterback simply isn't intelligent enough to succeed at that level. I mean, the one black quarterback that won a superbowl, even needed a white quarterback to get him into the playoffs. When he was asked to lead the team from day one, the coaching staff discovered that he wasn't capable of learning the playbook well enough to run the offense for an entire season.

It really has nothing to do with racism - white runningbacks suck, too.

See, but it still seems to me that you're implying that black quarterbacks are less intelligent because they're black. So far as I can figure, it comes from the more athletic quarterbacks getting less coaching to be better pocket passers, because they're athleticism allows them to succeed so they never get coached-up in any other way. It starts from an early age and it never improves.

It occasionally, but seldom, happens with white quarterbacks... Ie. Tebow. He was projected to be a tight-end/H-back player because he's made it to this point via athleticism.

White runningbacks don't succeed because that positions is based entirely on athleticism... And it's not as if there are no good white runningbacks... Peyton Hillis, Toby Gerhart. They're a newly revived breed.

And what about the black quarterbacks that are actually pocket quarterbacks? Namely McNabb and the late McNair? I mean, some are indeed garbage - Byron Leftwich, David Garrard, perhaps Jason Campbell... But I don't think it's because they're black and thereby stupid, I think it's because they're just shitty quarterbacks, which is entirely possibly because of a lack of intelligence, I just have a hard time accepting that that lack of intelligence is due to their ethnicity.

Not to mention, the playcalling is totally predictable. CJ had 20 carries in the first half today while VY had four passes.

Oh, and Ringer needs 5-7 carries a game. He's a nice change-of-pace back.
