SI.com's Peter King suggests the Dolphins already regret their 2010 trade for Brandon Marshall.
"I can tell you this right now," said King. "Miami would rather have two second-round picks and the $10 million a year it's paying for Marshall back instead of having Marshall on the team." King isn't citing team sources here, so he may just be going off reports that Miami is "wary" of Marshall's endless stream of off-field issues and concerned about his future. To this point, there are no plans to release Marshall.

One figure that did catch my attention was how low Michael Vick was on the list. Understandably, teams have to account for Vick’s mobility, but the Vikings showed how susceptible he could be to pressure off the edge as Antoine Winfield got the zone blitz working. Furthermore, Vick wasn’t exactly seeing the whole field, with just 15.55% of his throws going to the right side.

Philadelphia can expect more of this. If you want to know why, you need only look at Vick’s completion percentage when blitzed as it dropped to 52.98%.

You mean Vick is easily confused by even somewhat complex defenses and really can't hurt you unless he's free to run around and throw bombs?

Scouts Inc.'s Matt Williamson predicts that No. 36 overall pick Colin Kaepernick won't have to wait long to unseat Alex Smith as the 49ers' starting quarterback.
Williamson is "really high" on Kaepernick, and believes the Bengals should've opted for him over Andy Dalton at the 35th pick. "Smart guy with a ton of ability," Williamson writes. Kaepernick's development may be temporarily stalled by the lockout as a rookie quarterback, but he's already ahead of Smith in terms of talent. We expect him to start games in year one.

If it weren't for the lockout he'd easily be starting week 1 over Alex Smith. Alex Smith is terrible.

Colin Kaepernick believes the minor lower-leg injury that recently required surgery might have scared off teams early in the draft.
Teams had access to the medical reports and were aware of Kapernick's need for surgery. It may have played a part in the Bills' and Seahawks' decision to pass. "Should be back up and running real soon, nothing to worry about," Kaepernick said. "I'm not going to be missing anything."

Colin Kaepernick isn't daunted by learning the 49ers offense.
"It's not going to be that big of a change, actually," he said. "Going through the playbook, a lot of the route combinations and things like that are very similar. They're just called something different. Or they might run it out of a play action where we (Nevada) ran it out of a drop back. But for the most part, it's just re-learning terms and things like that." The 49ers' second-round draft pick does not appear to be lacking for confidence.

Sam Bradford is making a legitimate effort to install first-year OC Josh McDaniels' offense at Rams player-organized workouts.
This report comes from 101 ESPN's Tony Softli, and isn't the first time we'd heard it. Bradford has McDaniels' playbook, was the lead organizer of the workouts, and is trying to teach it to rookies on hand like tight end Lance Kendricks and receiver Greg Salas. Per Softli -- who is at the workouts -- Bradford "has a strong hold on this team, and they are in good hands."

:yawn: Another "great" story about someone supposedly taking a leadership role because a handful of guys are running routes. Just like Eli Manning with those practice squadders in Hoboken or Mark Sanchez with 13 Jets on the West Coast.
