I'd just like to say, it sucks that so many of the good posters are Notre Lame fans. Idk who the SC fans even are on this board, and it's not like I'm doing great representing... need to step my game up. lol.

The QB depth chart is getting awfully thin in Baton Rouge. We lost (RS)FR Chris Garrett to transfer a few weeks back, and now true FR Zach Lee will leave campus to join the Dodgers organization.

LA gave the kid a $5 M signing bonus, so I can't say I blame him, I'm just super bummed out. Not only because it leaves us with only two scholarship quarterbacks, but also because he was going to be really, really, good. He would've been a great fit at LSU- in both sports, the baseball team needs starting pitching bad- but I guess he had to do what he had to do.

We're gonna need at least one more QB this class and hopefully two the next year as well, because our depth is really lacking with the loss of a signee in back-to-back seasons. We have a commitment already from Stephen Rivers, brother of Philip, but he's kind of raw apparently. Who knows, Russell Shepard may end up moving back to quarterback next season if we can't sign a big-time prospect.

He posted a few 100 yard games with Houston the year they had the revolving door at RB every week between Ron Dayne, Ahman Green and Gado.

Watching the usual classic college games that are on every day. Currently watching #1 Miami vs. #2 Ohio St championship game.

This was the last great Miami team, Andre Johnson, Willis McGahee, Sean Taylor, Vince Wilfork, and John Vilma to name a few.


Edit: Will joseph was on miami too, what a fucking bust.
 
I'm really glad I passed on taking a back-up tight end and took Brett Favre in my fantasy draft last weekend. Now its time to shop him for a starting tight end and draft pick next season.

That sucks. Being an SC fan, I was really hoping I'd one day get to cheer for him as a pro.

I'm surprised he moved to receiver. I know the kid's quick, but he's got so much talent... Why not have it at the most important position?

Coaching staff wanted him to give QB one more shot, but he has his eyes on the NFL and asked to be moved full-time so he could improve his skills.

He knows he'll be moved to WR once he hits the draft combine anyway, so he figures might as well prepare. I don't think it would be that difficult for him to transition back to quarterback. He's already taking snaps there for option sets and he's gonna know the passing tree and playbook.

If there is still a gaping hole there in a year, I'd say the move will be strongly considered. As of now though, he's happy to be a WR and it's where he wanted to play.

You think there's any chance he plays QB in the pros? It's sort of disappointing to me that all of the real athletes have to play receiver. Not that it's not a fun, important position... Just that all the quarterbacks with athletic talent seem to get moved to receiver.

Obviously, this is sans VY, MV, and Tebow.

Very doubtful. He's roughly the same size as Pat White, has less arm strength, and won't be playing in a pro-style offense.

He's got a long way to go to even be ready to play QB in college, I doubt he'd ever be a realistic NFL prospect. He will be a first round talent at WR however due to his elusiveness and breakaway ability.

Wilson will probably end up playing baseball, but good list. Robert Griffin deserves a mention as well. He had a great TD/INT ratio as a freshman and is fast as hell. He could carve out a backup career as a Shaun King type at the next level.

Btw, you remember when Urlacher called Cutler a pussy? The defensive captain on the 1960 Baltimore Colts didn't think highly of Johnny U, but he didn't disrupt the team over it. Because winning was more important than independent vendetta.
