I told you Max Hall would take over. Whisenhunt said Max Hall was the best QB in training camp. The only reason he wasn't starting is because he's an UFA.

Btw, the Cards should play the "double eagle" 3-4 defense. A 0 tech nose, 3 tech ends. Would be a perfect fit for Dockett and Calais.

I wasn't too against Hall getting the nod this year because with Anderson you just knew he wasn't going to make it through the full season, BUT BY THE FOURTH FUCKING GAME??? The guy who won the job and rallied the team strictly on his charisma and intangibles didn't even make through 3.5 games. That is a fail from the FO, the coaching staff and Anderson.

I didn't get the whole Anderson situation from the start. That guy was absolutely horrible the past two years, obviously a one year wonder, yet somehow the ARI FO/Coaches think he's going to come in and be a good player? Charisma and intangibles only do so much when you can't read defenses and can't hit the broad side of a barn with a pass.

People put blame on the Saints defense (or at least these crappy pre/post game shows do) and it shouldn't be. That defense IMO is better than last year. No Roman Harper or Darren Sharper, the 3-4 added in and they're still playing well. They aren't getting the INT's they did last year of course but still better. The Saints being a disappointment so far I think, is all on the offense. 16 points against the Panthers defense? C'mon.

I think it'd be interesting to look at the number of points off of turnovers the Saints had last year. Defensive splash plays can certainly propell your team as a whole.

Overall, I'd agree with you. The loss of Reggie took special part of their game away, but turnovers can really amount to a lot of points for the offense too. I think they've just been a little unlucky early in the season. Remember they lost to the Bucs at the end of last year in similar fashion as ATL last week.

They were never unbeatable, but we do know that if Brees gets on at the right time and the defense causes turnovers they can go on a run.

That's the biggest indictment of Wade Phillips' scheme so far in his tenure.

The saints really are just playing sloppy all around. Our run D until this week was horrid and we looked like the old saints by making shit QBs look like all pros. I think we will hit stride on offense I think we probably just still have a SB hangover. I have to agree with you on the 16 points against the panthers, but that is attributed to us not holding onto the ball and giving the panthers the ball.

I think right now, Haloti Ngata is the most dominant defensive player in football. He had an unbelievable game yesterday. Such a beast.

I'm disappointed in my own lack of foresight, and I'm convinced my granddad is a football guru. Is it just me, or has LDT been playing like a fucking beast over in Jersey? I thought his career was over. 133 yards and two touchdowns on nineteen carries say "No, it's not." My granddad was talking about how turf toe is no joke and that's why he was so hobbled over the last few years. As well, he mentioned that Best has been hobbled with the same problem, and thinks he should be sat down. In any case he should be used less. Kevin Smith isn't so bad.

Also, I like Reggie Bush somewhat, and have never used the word "bust" to describe him, but he's never seemed like a first-round pick to me because of the lack of big numbers. But like we've all seen (and the media has finally started believing this year) he brings something special to that offense. They're not doing as well with him out.

In other news, the Chiefs are surprisingly fucking good, and the Raiders seem improved, but are still losing... Plus I don't get any fucking games because of black out. Ugh. :smh:

It's hard for me to root for the Bears, because I don't like Cutler, but it's hard for me to root against them, because I like Martz and Hester. :ionno:

USC laid a fucking egg against Washington. Can't even believe it. I mean, they were in technical competition for the AP championship... but there goes that. Thanks, Kiffin, for your terrible clock management. Good on Allen Bradford (223 yards on 21 carries) though. They need to run the shit out of him next week. And stop throwing so damned much. Barkley is a very, very, very pedestrian quarterback.

We're going to have to beat Stanford (fucking good), Oregon (fucking beast), and Arizona (surprisingly good, and nationally ranked in the top ten) to get the Pac-10 championship, and I don't know if the players or the coaches have the ambition or drive to get it. I feel like they're going to quit, if they haven't already.

Need to teach those DBs how to wrap somebody up, too.

Also, big ups to Ryan Fitzpatrick. He had a good game to be playing for Buffalo 100+ yards passing, two touchdowns, no interceptions, and led his team in rushing yards. That's what's up.

Lastly, is it funny to anyone else how just two and three years ago we were all talking about the NFC BEAST? How the NFCE was the best division in football? And the NFCS was close behind them? Haha. What the fuck happened?

With the NFC South we are talking about some young football teams. Let them grow and their dominance will return. Well, after John Fox, and maybe Raheem Morris are fired.
