All of that is understandable except the 78% of them going broke. How the fuck do you go broke as an NFL athlete? Unless you play for one or two years and only make like a million dollars, you are going to be practically set for life.
The average NFL player only plays for about three years and makes a little under a million a year. That doesn't figure in agent fees.
3 million is about what a middle class family would make if they worked for 44 years. Thats not a lot of money.
