I've only read the first page because I'm new to the site, and this is awesome man, keep it up

Thanks bro!

with all that trash talking, ocho gon get knocked the fuck out by asante.
LOL......jk
good luck on opening day

@rexis: Child please. Ocho can't be stopped.
This is, IMO, the best franchise that is still active Deegeezy. Keep up the great work.

Good luck on opening day! Loving the Chad tweets

Thanks guys - Glad you are all still following and enjoying the tweets. Pretty sub-par opening day for Chad though.

Yo, I am excited for the 2012 season. The schedule looks brutal early on, but if you can stay in the mix a favorable stretch near the end should get you back into the playoffs.

I am hoping for a better ending to the 2012 season. That heartbreaking playoff loss last season could help to bring this team together.

This is the year man. It is Super Bowl or bust for us. The opening schedule is definitely brutal. If we make it out of the first quarter of the season above .500, I will be very happy.

By far one of the best NFL chises I've ever read. Keep up the good work. FOLLOWING. The ONLY thing that I would suggest is putting the college that the draft picks are from.

What do you mean? I do list the colleges during the draft.

Good luck in the Reg season Chad and larry = best combo

:dontknow: We'll see

Yep...Going to be interesting to see how that plays out throughout the year. Larry is off to a good start. It really felt different using a power runner as opposed to the speedy Spiller. Larry's high TRK rating ain't no joke!

After scoring a touchdown with 0:08 remaining in the game to make the score 30-29, Bengals head coach Mike Martz made a unforgettable gamble and decided to go for the two-point conversion. On the play, QB Carson Palmer dropped back to pass and hit FB Jacob Hester wide open in the flat. However after stumbling and re-gaining his footing, the 3-time Pro Bowler was tackled short of the goal line by Eagles SS Sean Jones, putting an end to the Bengals' comeback hopes.

Bengals FB Jacob Hester gets stuffed on last second two-point gamble, Martz's risky decision costs Bengals in 30-29 opening day loss in Philadelphia | Eagles QB McNabb torches Bengals secondary for 398 passing yards on the day | Team to travel to Baltimore in week two

In what will go down in Bengals infamy, head coach Mike Martz made a decision he'd soon regret. After the team scored what was thought to be the game-tying touchdown, Martz decided to gamble and go for two and in the end it cost his team a 30-29 opening day loss to Philadelphia at Lincoln Financial Field. On the two-point play, Bengals QB Carson Palmer hit FB Jacob Hester in the right flat for what should have been an easy score. However Hester appeared to lose his balance and was immediately hit by Eagles SS Sean Jones, stopping him just inches away from the goal line.

"That's a play we have in our back pockets for short yardage situations," said Martz.

"Really if I had to do it again, I would have made the same call. It's a quick-hitting play and the read is basically from fullback to tight end. In all honesty, we had both the fullback open as well as the tight end. Carson decided the safer throw was to the fullback however you can't factor in if a player is going to lose his balance or not and that's what seemed to happen."

The Bengals initially lined up for the extra point but the Eagles called a timeout to ice PK Shayne Graham. That's when Martz changed his mind and decided to go for two.

"I decided that with the way the game was going in with either team unable to stop the other, that I was not going to allow this game to be decided by a coin toss," said Martz.

"This was a calculated gamble and not an impulse move. It was a road game, hostile environment, and a game in which both offenses were moving up and down the field at ease. We decided to put our destiny in our own hands and obviously came up short."

The Bengals, who trailed throughout the ball game, had just completed a 10-play drive that culminated with a 6-yard touchdown pass from Palmer to TE Chase Coffman. Palmer finished the day 27 of 44 for 334 yards and 2 touchdowns with no interceptions.

Philadelphia QB Donovan McNabb was the hero of the game for the home-standing Eagles, as he went 21 of 28 for 398 yards with 3 touchdowns. McNabb finished with a whopping three receivers who had 100-yard days - DeSean Jackson (109), Jeremy Maclin (110) and rookie first round pick Nick Toon (103).

The game was quite a contrast from the team's preseason week two battle which saw the Bengals win 49-17.

"This one got a little out of hand early as far as the pace we wanted. We really weren't expected a shootout type game," said Martz.

"There is a lot of us to take from this game to try to improve on. Defensively, in particular in the secondary, we must play better to avoid these types of games."

The Bengals (0-1) will travel to face division rival Baltimore (0-1) next week on the road. The Ravens swept Cincinnati last season in two games that saw the Bengals blow late leads. In week 13 of last season, Baltimore scored 22 unanswered points in the game's final 4:16 to oust Cincinnati 49-38.

In week 17, the Ravens scored 17 unanswered points in the final 5:45 to beat the Bengals 40-36. The loss would cost Cincinnati a first round BYE in the playoffs and the team eventually fell to the Colts on Wildcard Weekend.

Tough tough loss man. The offense actually looked really good and Spiller continues to beast. That pass defense though got shredded. That has got to be a little bit of worry. It's okay though I know my pass defense in my chise is getting shredded right now. Good luck against Baltimore its about time you beat them.

Great call, I like going for the juggler just got unlucky there with him stumbling......Hester was wide open, can't fault the coach or Palmer.....what caused him to stumble?

I remember those Raven games from last season, two tough losses in games the bengals seemingly had in the bag.....should be interesting to see this game goes

close game. I would have taken the field goal but it's only week 1.

I just didn't like the way the game was playing out and decided I wasn't going to put the game in the hands of the video game coin toss gods. I had a good play called and it just didn't work out.

The pass defense is without question the biggest disappointment from that game. We did decent in the preseason and I thought we were on the way up, but McNabb and company put us back in our place.

Not sure what caused him the stumble. It was just one of those "wrong animation at the wrong time" situations. It happens.

Great call, I loved it. Tough result. Next week could be a pivotal game for this team. Win and you exorcise the demons from last year and get back to .500. If you lose, you will have a tough hill to climb.

As always, this is a pleasure to read.

Thanks man...Still a lot of football left to play.

I probably would have done the same thing. This is an awesome chise man. One of my favorite. Good luck next week!

Appreciate it man, thanks

That was a tough game. But you'll get better.

Thanks for the words of encouragement...Hope you're right.

Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports that the Cincinnati Bengals have reactivated rookie second round draft pick RB Stephfon Green (70) from the injured list. TOP: After Bengals RB C.J. Spiller scored on a 59-yard touchdown reception to make the score 30-20, Cincinnati got a big play out of their special teams. On the ensuing kickoff, Bengals rookie FS Drew Astorino stripped Ravens rookie FS/KR Cooper Taylor of the football. The most unlikely of heroes, Bengals punter and kickoff specialist Ken Huber scoops up the football and returns it 16 yards for a touchdown that cut the Bengals' deficit to 30-27 with 8:36 to play. BOTTOM: Bengals QB Carson Palmer finds RB C.J. Spiller on a swing-screen pass for the go-ahead touchdown with just 0:04 remaining in the game. The touchdown was Spiller's third of the game and capped off a fourth quarter rally in which Cincinnati scored the game's final 20 points.

BENGALS SCORE 20 UNANSWERED POINTS IN FINAL 8:45 TO STEAL VICTORY FROM RIVAL BALTIMORE 34-30
RB C.J. Spiller's touchdown with 0:03 remaining, his third of the day, gives Cincinnati their first win of 2012 | P Ken Huber scores unlikely game-changing touchdown to spark fourth quarter momentum | Comeback win avenges last season's two losses to Ravens | Showdown with 2-0 Pittsburgh looms next week

After falling to the Ravens last season in two disappointing losses in which they blew late leads, the Cincinnati Bengals returned the favor Sunday afternoon scoring 20 unanswered fourth quarter points to oust Baltimore 34-30 at M&T Bank Stadium. In a game in which the Ravens dominated on the stat sheet and in time of possession, the Bengals got big plays from their offense, defense, and special teams en route to their first win of the season. QB Carson Palmer's 1-yard touchdown pass to RB C.J. Spiller on a swing-screen pass gave Cincinnati their 34-30 lead with just 0:04 left to play. The game-winning drive spanned 8 plays and 63 yards & lasted 2:06.

Baltimore (0-2) possessed the ball for a whopping 41:54 and moved the ball at ease against the Bengals defense, racking up 479 offensive yards which includes 372 passing yards from QB Joe Flacco. But in the end, two costly turnovers turned out to be the difference in the game.

Early in the third quarter on the opening possession of the half, Baltimore drove all the way down to the Bengals 10-yard line looking to increase their 17-7 lead. However on third down, Flacco was intercepted by Bengals CB Javier Arenas and the former Alabama star returned the interception 96 yards for a touchdown to make the score 17-14. It was the first interception of the 2010 second round draft pick's career.

In the fourth quarter of the game, down 30-14, Cincinnati would get another big play from one of its 2010 draft picks. RB C.J. Spiller would split out wide and catch a pass on a fly pattern and took it 59 yards for a touchdown to make the score 30-20 after missing the two-point conversion. That's when another big turnover put them right within striking distance.

On the ensuing kickoff, Ravens rookie FS/KR Cooper Taylor would get stripped of the football by Bengals rookie FS Drew Astorino. An unlikely hero, P Ken Huber, was "Johnny on the Spot" and scooped up the football and the team's kickoff specialist returned the recovery 16 yards for a touchdown which made it a 3-point game at 30-27.

"Not quite sure what he was doing that far down the field on that but we're glad he was there," said Bengals special teams coach Bobby April.

"Ken is a big guy so he isn't afraid to mix it up a little and stick his head in there to make tackles on kickoff team."

After the two teams traded possessions a couple more times, Cincinnati would get the football back just before the two minute warning, setting up Spiller's heroics. The former Clemson star finished with 171 all-purpose yards (25 receiving, 110 receiving, 36 on two punt returns) and 3 touchdowns, including 2 touchdowns in the fourth quarter.

For the Bengals, the win avenges last year's losses to the Ravens in which they blew late fourth quarter leads. In week 13 of last season, Baltimore scored 22 unanswered points in the game's final 4:16 to oust Cincinnati 49-38. In week 17, the Ravens scored 17 unanswered points in the final 5:45 to beat the Bengals 40-36.

"This was a very satisfying win, especially after last week's loss," said Bengals head coach Mike Martz.

"We took a big step in beating this team today and hopefully this gives us some momentum moving forward.

"All three phases: the offense, defense and special teams, did not necessarily bring their 'A' game today. However we fought, made plays when we needed them, and came away with a big division win."

Cincinnati (1-1) will host Pittsburgh (2-0) next week at home in a huge early season AFC North matchup. The Steelers will be without several key starters. MLB Lawrence Timmons (87), OLB James Harrison (92), DE Evander Hood (85), C Justin Hartwig (86), Lamarr Woodley (94) are all out with injuries.

Wow! What a win..Ken Huber...the punter...I don't even have words for that one. As usual Spiller continues to beast. It was nice to see the pass defense get the turnover but they are still bleeding yards. Huge game next week against Pittsburgh for the division lead. Hopefully you can take advantage of all their missing starters. Good luck!

Good luck!

Thanks man...C.J. Spiller is without a doubt the face of the franchise now. He looks primed to make another run at the MVP.

:SHOCKED:WOOOO!!! THE PUNTER FTW!! Nice win man.

Yeah Huber was in the right place at the right time on that. It's funny that EA decided to allow the kickoff man to run down to cover kicks.

Good win considering Baltimore owned the stat sheet.

It really was a crazy game. It's rare when you get dominated like that but still win. The Arenas pick 6 and the Huber touchdown were the difference. It also helped that we were able to hold them to field goals on some of their longer drives.

I would have loved to have seen that play on a highlight lol

I wish I had the time to figure out how to do that but I think I'll leave that alone. I'd get addicted to doing highlights and inevitably I would be adding an extra 30 minutes to an hour to write up my game reports...No thanks. haha

TOP: Bengals PK Shayne Graham nails a 37-yard game-winning field goal as time expires, making the score 31-30 and improving his team's record to 2-1. BOTTOM: Cincinnati RB C.J. Spiller was his usual self Sunday. This 22-yard second quarter touchdown run was his first of two touchdowns on the day. Spiller finished the day with exactly 300 all-purpose yards.

GRAHAM'S 37-YARD FIELD GOAL AS TIME EXPIRES LIFTS BENGALS TO INTENSE 31-30 WIN OVER AFC NORTH RIVAL PITTSBURGH
Palmer, Spiller come up in the clutch on game-winning drive that took up the game's final 4:40 | Spiller's 300-yard all-purpose yard performance puts him in early season MVP chatter | Road trip to New York to face 3-0 Giants next up for Bengals

The Cincinnati Bengals trailed Pittsburgh for virtually the entire game but a 37-yard field goal by PK Shayne Graham gave Cincinnati the lead when the clock hit all zeros in a 31-30 victory Sunday at home. Down 30-28, the Bengals got the football back with 4:40 remaining in the game at their own 33-yard line. QB Carson Palmer engineered an 11-play drive that ate up the remaining game clock and also forced the Steelers to use their timeouts which prevented them from stopping the clock as Cincinnati moved into position to kick the game-winner. Palmer finished the game 22 of 29 for 328 yards and 2 touchdowns.

The story of the game however was the continued stellar play of Bengals RB C.J. Spiller. The third year man out of Clemson gashed the Steelers defense for 121 yards on 20 carries while also contributing a game-high 10 receptions for 171 yards, including a 78-yard touchdown catch on a wheel route that made the score 30-28 with 6:19 left in the game. Spiller finished with 300 all-purpose yards on the day (121 rushing, 171 receiving, 8 punt return).

Cincinnati also got a strong contribution from veteran WR Chad Ochocinco, who hauled in 9 receptions for 114 yards and a first quarter touchdown.

The Steelers were without several key players on defense. MLB Lawrence Timmons (87), OLB James Harrison (92), DE Evander Hood (85), and OLB Lamarr Woodley (94) all missed the game due to injuries. Pittsburgh's defense allowed a whopping 514 offensive yards to the Bengals.

Even so, the Steelers were able to force 3 turnovers. And S Troy Polamalu's 83-yard return of a Spiller fumble made the score 17-7 in favor of Pittsburgh.

But in the end, it was the Bengals who made enough plays to come away with the win, and move into first place in the AFC North.

Cincinnati (2-1) will travel to face Eli Manning, Anquan Boldin, and the New York Giants (3-0) next week on the road.

Spiller really is on his way to that MVP trophy. Nice job taking the division lead back. The offense looks really explosive this year. It looks like this could be the year. It looks like the defense is struggling to get pressure on the opposing quarterbacks. The game next week against the undefeated Giants though should be a good measure of where the team is at.

DGZ,

I've been pretty busy the last few weeks and then the site was down for a few days - I gotta play catchup here for the 2012 season lol.

Bengals are going to give their fans heart attacks before the season's over....lol....two great nail biting wins over your divisional foes
